  1. It is different between garment, and fabric, yes. BUT garment prices are still VERY high.

Atelier La Durance does have a website, I don't know off hand what it is, but if you google it, you'll find it quick.

  2. e-thugging is THE COOLEST!

maha denim is not that great. I have a pair from about 2 years ago, camo printed lining, selvedge, some nice detailing (as per usual w/maha), but they had a rinse with a light handsand, which I didn't really dig too much. Bought them for the details though, and for work, so I don't wear them.

If they need a denim finisher, they can hire me ;-) they need some help with that.

  3. If you can get access to a dry-cleaning spray gun with dry-cleaning solution (I actually forgot the technical term, but they are commonly used in screenprinting shops to remove plastisol from t-shirts). THAT will remove your gull wing.

  4. Unfortunately, most JP brands won't ship to the US, unless you have a PERSONAL relationship with them (why Union gets Neighborhood, and Recon gets (w)taps. PLUS, if you do end up linking with JP denim, you WILL have to pay some pretty CRAZY shipping, which you will have to add to your retail price ( expect like $40 per pair markup for shipping alone on EACH piece, PLUS as denim is cotton rich, you are going to pay even more).

    I'd suggest to you realistically:

    5ep

Z-Brand is looking really nice lately (denim and non-denim).

Jeans Shop (if you can get them, maybe through Lucky, as they are the ones responsible for the Jeans Shop).

    APC

Try and track down Atelier LaDurance, I don't think ANYONE in the US is carrying them yet.

  5. I'd ROCK NBHD jeans, just would never pay retail for them.

jj, Mr. Dave Labels is picking me up @ JFk tomorrow, does he have your info?

I WOULD pay 900.00 for a pair of jeans, just not those. They'd have to be at LEAST older than I am (that'd be pre-1970).

    hit me up: [email protected]

  6. yo, jj, Magic is cool, Pool, an offspring of Magic, is the where you really want to be though. Better yet, try and get to Bread&Butter Barcelona or Berlin in July. I'm actually heading to Barcelona on the 6th of July out of NY for B&B there...I'll be in NYC on the 1st, and we should hook up (BTW, this is know5tyle) and I'll fill you in. But definitely you should get to Magic just for the exposure to the industry. You should know what goes on there.

  7. Cut N' Sewn means that the particular garment (can be ANYTHING, not just T-shirts) is made to a specific spec according to the designer, as opposed to buying "off the shelf" or "blanks" from a catalog or manufacturer that has already made the garment.

Cut n' Sewn is also the new line from Marc Ecko.

  8. New Era has a form to fill out when making hats with them. You pick base colors/fabrics (or you can use custom fabrics, but it's a bit of a different situation, and the lead times are longer, of course), then pick details, provide logos (or discs if you have your logo already digitaized for embroidery), and pretty much go from there. Usually you get a strike off of the embroidery for approval. The waiting game can be a little frustrating when you wnat them, and also, as with pretty much anything else in the industry, it ALWAYS takes longer than expected, reported.
