  1. Interviewed for JET 05 a couple o weeks back. U right I'm one of those kids like u described. I don't really want to do it. Wan't to work into what I studied at uni after JET, in Japan. I did some teaching there before when on exchange but and enjoyed it a lot. And I didn't let on thats its not my ideal job in the interview, 'course. Even so, Interview went just okay. they don't let us know the result until April...

  2. Supply is owned by an outfit called Flipside Distribution that run Central Station Records in Oxford St. (now closed). They sold Recon and some other street brands then about 18 months ago they opened Supply which is doing great I think. Started with a few small Japanese brands (eg montage) and I think they grew it from there. I think Jules manages the place and Terry is usually up front. Jules kinda has an attitude problem but Terry is a nice kid. They reckon they gettin NBHD & W-TAPS for their new store SUPPLY ANNEX thats opening ASAP. Gonna move all the Jap stuff over there and keep the NY/London stuff (aNYthing, Silas) at the old store. Should be good stuff.

Our Spot? I got no fucking idea.

  3. when in Tokyo and I just have to shell out the resale prices (usually higher for new stuff) I prefer Fool's Judge in Shibuya and PX-Megastore (The trip out to the suburbs is worth it). PX has the best range and sum bargains on DTaps etc.

  4. yeah there's a ragtag in Harajuku, takeshite-dori. don't know about shibuya? prices seemed lower than other resale joints but all their stuff is pretty heavily used. hence the name.

  6. NIgo is trying to make BAPE a super luxury brand like Vuitton or something (he's a big fan). Kinda the opposite to what it used to be. Interesting direction. Looking forward to what he makes out of it.

Nigo's got good style. Always evolving and well thought out. My favourite is his new full-platinum teeth! Since he was a fashion editor for Popeye Mag way back he's had a good eye for denim etc.

Don't know what he's thinking with his Good Charlotte collab tho'. Maybe he's getting older and losing his eye for cool. W)Taps had it right as far as punk bands go with its JFA collaboration.

  9. I get to Japan on a reg basis just to get the stuff. don't want it to be too widely available in the west or for every kid to start wearing it... won't go the way of bape coz its more tactile and branding is less obvious. thats part of the reason I've been liking it for all these years.

I never even met any 'heads' in Australia who even know how to pronounce it properly. hah, Supply in Sydney reckon they gonna get it but there like: "yeah, where getting double-u-taps in". Dicks. get some brand knowledge before you sell it.
