ain't nothing wrong with BAPE trying to go mainstream...it's hard to keep a good brand underground for a while...especially with the clientele he had...he's just gotta understand that he can't sell these t-shirts with nothing but BAPE on the chest for $100+ anymore...shit's just not gonna work...

That's the problem in Japan. Out there the underground is the mainstream. kids catch on quick and jump off just as...

Nigo never sold T-shirts for $100. Price has always been around Y6500 for a tee, I don't know about the NYC store but? Anyone?

Neighborhood tries to be an american streetwear label, uses cliche hip hop design elements. Their T-shirts are like the Gap - just thier name "neighborhood" or "NBHD" in different fonts.

HAHAHAHAHA! "NBHD uses cliched hip hop design elements"??" - couldn't be further from the truth. Showcase beat me to it but see his post. Gee you'd think if Shinsuke and his crew were b-boys they'd get around in something else 'sides skinny jeans and george coxs!

  3. I was out in Supply Sydney today and the guys pulled me up on some of the shit I've been putting up on Superfuture.

I'm just a skinny jap-wannabe from Canberra but apparantly some of the shit I dropped pissed some people off.

I think what u guys at Supply had a problem with was this post in the W)Taps thread:

    http://www.superfuture.com/city/supertalk/index.cfm?page=topic&topicID=1356

"I never even met any 'heads' in Australia who even know how to pronounce it properly. hah, Supply in Sydney reckon they gonna get it but there like: "yeah, where getting double-u-taps in". Dicks. get some brand knowledge before you sell it. "

That was in ref to Terry callin the brand double yuu taps instead of Double Taps. I let him know how to say it and I thought it was kinda weak that he didn't already know if you guys had met up with TET and all that. The name is kinda like a play on words in Japanese and part of the concept. I'm just anal about it. Nah I don't think you guys are dicks but u right, I am a dick for posting that shit and I apologise.

Anyway I don't just give u guys bad publicity. You see this?:

Anyway I've got nothing but respect for the shop. Something unique in Australia and always something new to check out everytime I'm up there. Sure I've mentioned on this board and others that u can't beat your prices on Head Porter. Best to Terry and James and everyone out at Supply. Keep up the good work.

  4. Nigo's been trying to develop BAPE into a well known luxury brand for a while now. Kindoff interesting goin the opposite direction to what he's been since the beginning... Instead of trying to stay underground..do the opposite.

U know he's a huge fan of LV, right.

But apparantly in Tokyo Ape's gone the way of Evisu. played out. almost no-one wears it. It was pretty much like that when I was at Harajuku etc last a year ago. Smaller cities in Japan still have a demand for it and 4 more BWS are launchin this season around the country, to add to the 13 already outside Tokyo. A lot of country kids come up to Tokyo to buy the stuff on weekends prolly still but locals are over it.

A year ago I saw a lot of Nexus 7, Motive, Hectic & Masterpiece basically. They seem to be the key brands out in harajuku these days. move up to Aoyama and its all about CDG...by the way seems BAPE cafe up in Aoyama shut down.

I put his brains all over the street sos u could see what he was just thinkin

  5. if ur only gonna see one nude scene by an actress make it Katie Holmes in the gift. I think the one at my local video store has a hole burned thru that part of the disc by now.icon_smile_big.gif As that guy in Harold & Kumar says: 'the things I wouldn't eat out of her ass'..

Toldya already why I like checkin out what Yosuke is wearin from time to time - coz he's got similar taste and similar build so I get ideas from him. nah, I don't wanna fuck him. but u will prolly all go on thinkin that 'coz I'm guessing yur all like 12 yo. If u think this thread is gay, get the fuck out and make your own thread. Don't fuck it up for others.

Okay, wish people would get this right for a change. The brand is just called Hectic. It's flag store is a place called Real Mad Hectic. Real Mad Hectic is deft in my top 10 shops but not top 10 clothing brands.
