  1. mucho gracias!

hope i'll be able to stop by a few shops from the list tomorrow.

any shop you recommend to check out? so far i've gone to nbhd, bbc, bape, recon, bxh, the usual, except for the 'hidden' shops. i wasn't even able to find secret base shop at all.

  2. wonder if there are any great JAPANESE independent women's jean brands out here in tokyo?

i'd love to buy a pair of jeans for my darling while i'm here in tokyo.

a pair of raw blue ones would be nice!

evisu is only one that comes to my mind thought she's not too fond of their design.

hope to get a few responses here so i could shop little more here!

    stay fresh!

  3. just happened to stop by mitchell & ness' new shop in shibuya (3/F).

it was just opened TODAY as i could tell that they were flowers all over the entrance doors there! along with fema shop (awfully MANY new era caps as it seems like there are two floors of 'NY' yankees 59fifties in many different styles at 1/F and 2/F in same building)

it's on meija dori i believe though i do not know the address as i was just wandering arond that area from harajuku.

wayne, i'm sure you'll eventually find it soon though.

  4. wonder where i could find them in tokyo?

they got some good stuff for the last few years and i'd love to check out their jeans as well.

any info would be appreciate until tuesday as i'm in town for a while before going back to the states!

  5. i'll be heading out to tokyo soon this thursday for a week.

earlier i posted a thread about san francisco's hair salons, but i never got around to them and my hair's awfully getting long. i figured that it'll be an once-a-lifetime to get an unique haircut from a trendy salon.

hope to get your words by this thursday.

    thanks in advance!

  6. what i meant was the shops that would usually carry free ones. they'd usually put them by the door for any customer to take along...

in nyc, my wife and i would take them each issue often.. and ever since we moved here, we've only managed to find a few shops, most notably rolo... but it's kinda too far for us to go there.

    thanks thouhg.

  7. it seems like vice magazine is somewhat difficult to find in SF. can any of you locals share your secrets about where to find 'em?

the last time i was able to find one was at rolo's on howard.

which shops usually carry a large volume of vice mags?

  8. i just moved into richmond area from nyc and i am loving it very much even thoughit has been raining like 90 percent of time in the whole month of march.

i'd go to mtn view often lately because that's where my parents' fave eats is along castro st. plenty of asian restaurants, bars, and cafes along the street.

when it comes to shopping, you're better off at valley fair in san jose (i think it might have the sixty shop there), stanford shopping center in palo alto, or many independent shops in SF.

yeah, i have to agree with persia that caltrain is the best to go for commuting to mt. view from san francisco during rush hour. if you're gonna live in SOMA, then caltrain station isn't that far away. SOMA is filled with many nightclubs, and i had a friend get mugged after an outing at a club in soma recently.

if you're very homey, then living in mt. view will suit you just fine. you got plenty of places to go within 40 miles range.

  9. just moved to SF from NYC last fall, and it's about facking time that i get a haircut. but i just need some connections here as i'm looking for a guy's haircut that is oriented for asian clientele like me...

looking for a pro who has experienced with hk/japanese-hip haircut.

    thanks in advance!

  10. yeah. you got it...

i just never knew what it meant.. but i just knew that it just meant cheap, rotating, sushi..

also, tips: try not to go there during lunch time, or you'll be waiting in a long line anywhere...

  11. i second others for the Tsukiji freshest fish in the early AM.

you'll be able to see many fish arranged neatly in their baskets.

if you see any restaurant with with a japanese character that looks like double boxes, then you'll know that it's usually 100 yen sushi...

  12. i've been disappointed with its hoodie quality. i had one UP x flores hoodies and only 6 months later, the zipper just fell apart and it's irreplaceable.

while i do fully support their artists' collaboration, i just wish that they could do better with the quality on the fabric.

but that doesn't prevent me from going to the shop and check out their new stuff...

last time i was there, they did have a few pairs of adi x up kicks in the glass display...

  13. went to steven alan's a few days ago and they had a few tiger classic hoodies left... green - one of my fave colors and i snagged it right on the spot after trying it on...

i think i just fell in love with this hoodie..

    thanks for the help, guys...

think i'll visit steven alan often whenever i'm in town!
