  1. >u tight with Ignition Man? Or can u read Japanese good?

The latter. Though I do have a friend that works at swagger.

Never met Iggy though. But I did have a chance to meet

the big O at a club in Japan. The man is huge!!!

  2. They haven't sold any of their stuff in the states as of yet.

Iggy or ignitionman or hidebowie or whatever the hell he goes by these days

doesn't really see shirts with little cred on the streets

selling for $80 in the US. It's only available in Japan.

  3. I'm sure youd be able to find a pair at your local

sneaker boutique. I've seen a couple at Shieks as

well as Urban Outfitters so I'm assuming they're not that hard

to find. You do know their womens though, right? Don't get me wrong.

I'm not preaching about how guys shouldn't step into a gals kicks.

I do that all the time. Yes, even heels too.j/k

You just may have a hard time finding your size.

  4. The thing that I see around me that men rock but should be for

women are those Louis Vuitton waist bags. I see at least one a day

    from different dudes.

dolo - You really can't win, huh? I mean, you've been

more than informative ever since this board came into

existance and yet, for some odd reason, I always see you taking

a hit. No worrys though. There are some that actually appreciate

what you've been doing. Keep up the good work mang

    Jam Home Made

    LAMF (These grew on me..)

    Greenlady (SD!!)

Burberry Black Label (At least what I can afford..)

  6. Just got back from igloo.

The new store is really nice!

It was super clean and still had the new building smell to it.

I don't know why but the vibe of the store and the view from

the glassed-out front combined made me feel like I was in SF and not SD.

Can't really specify a reason though. As usual, Gary was really nice

and always looks out for us San Diegans. As soon as they get their new stock

    out, everything should be grand.

I also visited Steady BTQ and found a couple of great looking

jackets. They had a couple of M-65and MA-1 type jackets and

a lot of gear from 10deep as well as various Japanese brands.

A lot of nice hats too.

Since I was in area, I also hit up Re:up.

They have a really nice M-65 jacket from W)tapsxRecon.

Make sure to check out the new shipment that they

got from L5landscape. They make good quality jackets

with a very low price tag.

  7. Igloo also sold the likes of stacks, xlarge, minnesota, daggers drawn,

brown beenie, leche, redfive, milkfed, etc..

    and heres me venting:

Fuccckkkk!!!! Yet another event on Saturday!!! ARGGGGGG!!!

I can never make any of these events.. I HATE WORK!!!

Saturdays can suck my left nut!! icon_smile_angry.gif

    Thank you

On the real though, I hope everybody has

fun at Threads and the Igloo grand opening.

Good luck to both and I'll definitly check out both

    in the very near future.

  8. Regarding Igloo and Flagship, the two should be opening

up a new store some where in Downtown soon.

Igloo should be opening up somewhere near Little Italy.

I have no new information regarding Flagship, however.

If the peeps from Blends can open up a Carve

in SD, then I'm all set!!!!

  9. The Blends Grand Opening was off the hook!!

    Too bad I didn't win anything thoughicon_smile_dead.gif

Some cats be walkin out with free Futura BWs and other

exclusive ish like that. Made me mad jealous.

Saw the fiberops tees that Re:UP has in stock.

Cosider them copped!! The maker of fiberops himself,

Mr. Moore also popped up at the blends grand opening.

It was nice to see that he hadn't forgotten about the

peeps in SD, even though he's a great success in Japan and

    Taiwan.

Anyways, if you want some good denim, try Steady near

Little Italy. They got Tsubi Jeans straight from Japan

and other brands that should impress the picky.

look for them to also carry various ish from

Fiberops as well as Livity, etc..

A great store run by great people.

    formerly daggersprawn

  10. I'm not associated with them in any way but I just heard

that the great people who have provided the people of costa mesa

with a uber-cool shoe store in BLENDS is opening up a store

in downtown San Diego and that their grand opening will be

on Friday, Nov 19th at 8PM. Sorry for the run-on sentence. icon_smile_tongue.gif

I don't know the details so I really can't answer any questions.

If you're into a sneaker boutique with great customer service

and a great selection, then just show up and give them some luv.

The store should be on Market between 7th and 8th where a record store

    used to be.

  11. I'm pretty sure it was made for the 5th year anniversary

of SOPH.NET. They kinda look like Nike Escapes, only with

ostritch skin on the front and back panels. Very underrated

IMO. I think I saw them at UNDFTD la brea for around $70 or so.

You'd prolly have a better luck getting a response at

www.niketalk.com though. For pics, check ebay.

The name of the shoe is Nike Internationalist.

    formerly daggersprawn

  12. ^^Thats so true though.. But compared to like 4-5 years ago,

the situation in SD has gotten a lot better IMO. Back then, if there

something I needed for the season, I'd always have to venture

up to LA and deal with the snobby service up there. I'd always be pissed

at somebody for yelling at me for opening too many shirts. But the need

was there and so I'd have to deal with the negative vibes.

On the real though, people need to open their eyes at

the quality of the mall shit. Take for example a cami sold at

forever21. Put those through the washer a couple of times

and they come out all shrinked up with the collar area being

hyperextended. My girlfriend was an Abercombie freak before I

met her and now, she has seen the light. The prices that a A&F charges

is outrageous if you ask me. There is usually nothing creative about the

gear and the quality of the fabric is usually thinner than wax paper.

I reapply appreciate the number of art shows that you've curated

in SD though. Me being a poor, minimum wage college student

means that I usually can't afford the art work, but I usually walk out with

a post card or a t-shirt at the least. You've given many San Diegans

the opportunity to gaze their eyes on fresh art work and many of us

    greatly appreciate it.

    formerly daggersprawn

  13. ^^^so true... But maybe San Diego wasn't ready for a

shop like that at the time... You know how the SD is...

Right now would be the perfect timing

for them to reopen what with the number of select shops poppins up.

Isn't that right? Aly? (wink wink)

By the way, another store has also popped up

right smack dab in the middle of downtown SD!!

The RE:UP store is now open and is ready for all you

    Tofu Heads.

I went there for the first time today and it was quite different from

the rest of the pack in SD. Itching for that hard to find be@rbrick? RE:UP would

be the place to scratch your itch as they will mainly be toys based.

They will, however, have a section for gear from the likes of

Fiberops(in the very near future), imaginary foudation etc..

Look for them to carry toys from Kaws, Micheal Lau, Eric So, and other various shit.

They will also have a consignment section for kicks ready in a while

with the Calis, Luckys, and other hard to find limited ish.

RE:UP definitely has not forgotten about the ladies as they

carry a number of totes, women's apparel, and accesories.

RE:UP is located on G st. between 8th and 9th.

The next time your in the area, give them a peak and

they will take care of ya!!

    formerly daggersprawn

  14. ^I heard about that about six months ago too..

About Flagship reopening in downtown. They were talking about leasing the

vacant area of the old igloo/mathlab complexes but I guess the rent

was a tad pricy and so they backed out. Dunno if I heard

this from Joe or taku though.. kinda forgot.

Hopefully Igloo opens up within 3-4 weeks. Can't wait for the opening

    party too!!!

Give Steady some love too. They recently opened up and

not too many people know about them yet. They have good ish though.

    And cute accessories too!!!

Wow..San Diego has come a long way..With the various select shops opening

up in the Downtown district, I rarely have to make the tiresome drive up

to LA to do my shopping. This is definitly a great sign. I likey. Now if only the

    mathlab had stayed... icon_smile_blackeye.gif

    formerly daggersprawn

  15. ^It's not, sorry to say...

taku who had like a part ownership of the place

told me that they closed the store about a month or

    two ago.

Try NYP on Market or a new shop called Steady Boutique

on Hawthorn and Kettner. If you dig stuff from Flagship,

both of the stores carry similar shit. You should take both to your

    liking.

    The address for steady is:

    801 W. Hawthorn St #109

    San Diego CA 92101

Right near Little Italy. They also carry womens gear

imported from Japan so there is a little something something

    for every gender.

    They're usually open till 8PM.

Look for the Igloo shop to reopen in the near future

    around that area as well.
