  1. Do you mean "base station? If so, it's right on meiji street near the condom shop

and right next to a Japanese burger joint called Lotteria.

If you were talking about the figure brand "secret base," then I appologize.

Judging from the places where you've been to,

fiberops, doarat, soph., atmos, and milkboy should be to you liking.

All those can't be too hard to find. There should be a free flyer that

has a map of the whole harajuku area with each shop written on in it somewhere

around harajuku if your ever in doubt. If you can't find that, you can always

buy a japanese fashion magazine with something similar on it. They always

    come in handy.

  2. Quote: what makes it so great? bxh is cool, but the rest can be found in la.

Well, considering up until a couple years ago, there really wasn't much

shopping to be done in SD and people had to drive all the way to LA to buy those things,

a shop like the commissary opening up is quite big. Just like the way that blends

opening up saved a shit load of gas money for sneaker heads in SD, commissary

is doing the same for heads that crave stussy, supreme, bxh, i:m, etc etc...

The brands may not be everybodies cup o tea but for those who dig that shit, it's

    quite revolutional.

From my stand point, having a union-esque landing point in SD for brands and artists

from accross the world to land is what makes this place appealing. Since I don't personally

know Andrew Lee or anyone from I:M, I can only make assumptions but it would probably

be wise to guess that BxH decided to drop their stuff in SD from the connections that

I:M made through their urahara store. Because commissary has the potential to introduce

dope shit through their dope pipelines, international or interstate, is what makes this

place great. I:M gear ain't too shabby too.

Then again, I haven't been there yet so I could be completely off...

Fuck, i just typed an essay... Kick me in the solar plexus, now..

  3. Quote: stocking: Supreme, Stussy, Vans, Bounty Hunter, I:M,...

is what bobbyhundreds is sayin. I havent' been there yet since I had

to move to riverside right before the tape was cut for this place. From what

I heard though, bobby is right on the mark. I think there are a couple of

dark pics of the store on the hundreds page.

Man, do I miss SD. Ain't nothin poppin in the inland empire...

  4. There is a place called the Bay Side Marina in Yokohama.

The station that you get off at is Torihama.

It's near Fujisawa and if I remember correctly, I think

you get on the Seaside line from Shin-Sugita near Fujisawa.

They have a SHIPS, UNITER ARROWS, nike, Xlarge/Xgirl, Pinky & Diane

Edwin, Bobson, Levis, etc etc.. you get the picture. For a list of the stores

that are there, check out http://www.bayside-outlet.com/top_shoplist.html

    if you can read Japanese.

  5. Yo EDWIN!! Wats poppin?

Is this going to be like a every Tuesday thing?

If it's open past 12:30, I may have to check this out.

BTW, did you get my email about that thingy

    you asked about?

  6. I really appreciate all the feedback that

everybody gave me. I've decided to go with either Skype

or voipbuster. I was considering the Yahoo BB internet phone

but isn't that based in Japan? I could be wrong though.

I guess I forgot to write where I am going to be calling from.

I'm currently in San Diego. For those who have used

either Skype or voipbuster, I was wondering if you were charged any surcharges

when purchasing the credits in euro?

  7. Hey, all.

My girlfriend recently moved back to where she was born, the land of the rising sun.

I was wondering if any of you could tell me how you people

communicate with people over seas. Long distance calls are surely

expensive and being a poor minimum wage worker, I just can't keep up with

the bills. I need your expertice in regards to calling cards and voice chating via MSNIM.

If there are any alternative methods to that, I would like to know of that too.

Any advice would be greatly appreicated.

Thanx, and I hope everybody has a great day!

  8. Ahh, Akihabara.

    Otaku palace.

That place scares the shit out of me sometimes.

You got these boyz n' girls in costumes, yakuza folk,

and the otakuboyz with their paper bags and long ass hair. The thing about

Akihabara is that if you're looking to buy some electronics,

then that would be the place to be. Recently, the price differencial

between Akihabara products and those sold at other cities

isn't all that different. The Akihabara shop keepers, though, seem

to be more willing to negociate with the prices.

Shibuya-ku isn't all that far from AKihabara.

I'd say, about alittle under thirty minutes on the

    Yamanote line.

  9. I dunno if there are any kind of authentic "Ryokans"

in those areas. Ryokans tend to be in the more country

or less-metropolitan areas of Japan. For that reason, you'd prolly

have better luck finding a business hotel as there are shitloads

of those in the Shibuya, Shinjuku and Harajuku area.

  10. If theres still time for me to throw in my

2 cents, I'd personally like to see more designs.

I don't have a problem with the designs that FRESH, wild wiskey

or anybody else has posted. I think their all fine and dandy.

Just not my cup of latte and besides, I'd like to see what bobbyhundreds

and the other "designers" on this board can churn up with enough time.

Can't we just extend the time limit to the end of May so that the

busy folk can have time to get their shit going?
