  1. I believe the deal is that you may be too young to remember that guy from the late 70's early 80's.

the character was a popular sticker. had one on my zeronine plate on my BMX.

whats up with that, are you people NOT realizing that ECKO ain't aiming at you(bitchass streets smart sup0rsh0pp0rs), its aiming at hiphoppers?

Funny thing is, he is amining at "us". Kids who used to work there are pretty clued up. Uses Reas for his cut and sew line. Kaws in his video game. Does "limited edition" stuff like a flav clock and some crappy ass Adidas. Buys lots of "cool guy" art. More than anything he wants to be down. He's clued up on what's happing for the most part.

I actually really like some of the Cut and Sew peices. Really nice. Great details. I still can't get beyond that it's Ecko and one step removed from clown wear, Turtle.

Don't think the cut and sew line will be around all that much longer anyway. It may have to get it's head lopped like a bunch of other offshoot brands.

  3. He doesn't know shit about shit.

He bought "modern furniture" that someone else told him to buy. Thinks he's the style master 'cause he could afford to hire guys from "hip euro brands" to design his cut and sew line.

He used to run only ecko velour hook ups until he realised that all the kids who worked for him would never rock Ecko and were way more up on shit than he was. Switched to Rogans, flat fronts and button ups.

    Uses terms like "hood factor".

His company has currently shot itself in the foot by over expanding, hiring too many people with inflated egos and even bigger saliries and over expanded itself with 50 million brands.

  4. my experience with 2 different pairs is that they tend to stretch alot. My first pair (whatever the OG cut ones are callled purchased around 3 years ago or so) I would have to shrink up in the dryer during the summer all the time. My 2nd pair in a darker wash/rinse fit pretty snug at first, but now are pretty baggy which is the way I want them. Now I wash them in cold and hang dry and they hold their shape.

  5. Urban Outfitters in the UK carries Duffer, Zoltar, Alife and a pretty good amount of other good brands. From what I understand the UK stores have a totally different set of buyers.

The first time I was there (the one in the UK) they had SSUR, Generic costume, LVC, Duffer, some crazy Evisu and lots of other stuff. That was in 99'

  6. If you have short hair hit up Cuts in soho (near foot patrol). It's a hole in the wall with a broken down couch and stickers covering the mirrors, but everybody there is pretty chill. A cut will run you about £30 and you'll be happy.

It also happens to be the spot where Nigo got the idea for his bape cuts spots. it was supposed to be a combo with cuts in London.

  7. I did get it right. I'm not here to name drop just help some people out with some info.

Spruce and Wings and Horns are owned by Craig.

Greg from Situation normal and Raif do Naked Apparel. Craig is not involved, although he was at the beginning.

Raif no longer does Spruce with Craig.

Try and keep up. We're only jogging now, when we start running you may not be able to keep up.

  8. See I knew it.

I grew up smack dab in the middle of the 87' 88' straight edge HC scene. It did totally save my life. Kept me out of trouble, really gave me something to identify with as a 16 year old.

Saw Judge, Gorilla Biscuits, Insted, Bad Brains, AOD, Chain of Strength, Up Front, Supertouch, Burn....I could go on and on. (don't even get me started on the DC scene) shit was waayyy crazier then than now. Much smaller and shows in insane areas where you mixed with the locals and they weren't happy about it.

I'm not much of a scenester these days but I have some good friends that run labels and are in a few pretty prominant punk / HC bands. I've also done alot of work for bands over the years.

glad to see other kids with a similiar past on here.

  9. we may have to start a HC shirt thread given everyone on here.....some of the prices they've been fetching on ebay give even the most expensive new shirts a run for their money.

Miguel, what songs did Walter do? new stuff? worlds fastest car stuff?

And why would that be? because I heard that from someone who knows Rick? and most likely it's true?

    Fuck off douchebag.

pissant, get your facts straight...none of this "i heard from a guy who knows klotz' sisters brother friend bullshit. get some facts before you start dropping shit like that, bitch.

Pretty ignorant of you to think that I might not be in the "industry" don't you think? Whether it's correct or not it's not 3rd hand info. Quit calling bullshit if you don't have anything to back it up with.
  11. My pal....amazing shirt! having seen them 2x's on that summer tour I can get down with that.

The supreme thrilla in manilla shirt is one of those shirts that you always get comments on...good shirt.

My faves are my Rollin Stock shirt from a few years back, the one with R-O-L-L-I-N all the way around.

    My schism Judge reprint

and my Natural Born "stepping razor" shirt.

  12. Supreme is custom run...from Canada.

There is a new line called NAKED apparel. (north american knitted apparel) the sweats are great, like old champion. french terry back as well.

not sure of the availability as of now. I believe UNDFTD may use them for their stuff if not now, they may later on. The line is run by guys from twenty04 in canada and sit normal in LA.

if not, there is always champion!

  13. man, after following this thread from the get go and having debated buying a pair of anglais for like 2 years, then and reading that the english were done for I decided to order a pair.I managed to score the last pair of 36's from the NYC store. ordered yesterday, got them today.

I love them, they're very loose on me, which I like! I rock a 38 usually in levis and rogan, and they fit perfect around the waist. I love plain stiff 5 pocket jeans. they are so few and far between.

why the hell did I wait so long?

I'm going to wear them for as long as I can without washing (6 months maybe), then wash and dry the crap out of them!

I think mowing the lawn in them this fall is callled for as well. I think the grass stains will do them well.

    ok just kidding about that.

  14. word has it that rick is already in it 200 large in legal fees alone. Man.

I think Stussy is a great brand. It's too bad that this may soil it's name. They are a super conserative company these days, and yes pretty damn corporate.
