Can anyone shed some light on where to source Visvims online that doesn't involve a ludicrous Colette markup? Finding anything in a US11 is proving to be quite difficult...

They are only doing this with the Foley Folk, well in terms of pushing a re-soling service. This can only be done through their store in Tokyo.

It looks that way. But then again, the Shaman/Bearfoot folk shoes have thin soles too. I have no idea what the soles are made of on the Maliseets.

You try and see the Maliseets in person and you'll see what i mean. The other mentioned style of show, particularly the sole in this case, are different constructions, different materials.

Looking to buy a paiir of Highwater slacks. Does anyone know how they come up on the waist. Bought a pair of last seasons Highwater chinos from last seaon and they are perfect and then i bought a pair of the Giza version and they are way too big. Anyone provide any into much obligied.

I'm tempted by the slacks also, particularly the charcoal colour. If you see my prior post, Hiroki is wearing a slightly checked model (not listed part of fw, perhaps a sample model for a future season). However, the future winter months ahead put my off them.

Anybody get anything from the initial phase of fw09?

The list on the first page of this thread is not the full list. For some reason its incomplete. Visvim' collection are always larger. There will also be FIL exclusives as well.

First wave of fw 09 items coming to FIL this Saturday. Check Hiroki's blog at honeyee for some images.

In Monocle they said that you can send them in to get resoled as well.

That's coming next season, f/w, in a few weeks but only through their Tokyo store.

Knew it would be brought down with the increasing amount of people acsessing it.

I think that a racing theme is quite a difficult thing to pull off well especially for a brand like visvim where the pieces are mostly devoid of any form of graphics or 'branding', the kind of stuff that most associate with motor racing.

Most of Visvim's collections have always had a thematic undertone—something that either loosely or directly the collections and their pieces pertain. I think the failing of ss10 lies where the reference points are played out too literally, for eg checkered flags designs being placed on tees.

^Thanks. Google tells me that the fw 09 "special exhibitions" happened some time ago—shame nothing really emerged to the extent of the extensive images of ss10.

Some F.I.L stores closed this weekend for a "special exhibition". Preview of ss10, or fw 09? Hopefully fw 09, having seen the entire ss10 collection—hopefully some pics will emerge...
