  1. our nameless ex-superfuture tech director ended up locked up in detention for a week at shinagawa for overstaying and escorted directly to narita in shackles. i have plenty of friends who got kicked out. one had been there for over 12 years and rocked up to renew his visa 2 days late and they required so much paperwork and interviews with his employers etc for him to extend that he decided to leave anyway... then again, i had a flatmate who lived there on a tourist visa for a decade; had a car; [no licence] a business, apartment and everything else... but she was french...[which explains a lot]

    Japan is totally lenient in all regards and they probably will just smile and wave you on at the airport. This happens to me all the time. Since Im a foreigner in Japan its cool. They have laws, but they dont really apply to non-Japanese, and really, Japanese pretty much welcome all foreign people into the country with open arms. If you want to stay indefinitely it shouldn't be that much of a problem either, they love the diversity that outsiders bring.
  2. went there a few years ago to build superfuture online casino but realized it wasn't really such a great idea. stayed with friends on outskirts of san jose for 2 weeks. guardhouse at front gate with guard and machinegun. razor wire on all perimeter fences. all the neighbours had rottweilers. baseball bat in back seat of car at all times. san jose is a dump but the nightlife is a lot of fun. drove to pacific coast and stayed at some 70s style spanish resort near a creek with lots of aligators. i wouldn't recommend it unless you have friends there [preferably rich ones] or at least speak spanish. the coast and countryside is better than san jose which is a hole.

  3. garbage man quit. the ball is back in the trashcourt. you all decide. it's your community. i just pay for the luxury of it all. mellowbonsai i think you have what it takes.

    supertrash would be great if we had a decent moderator
  4. er.

    ++++++++++++++++++

    we aim to keep supertalk an informative resource and communication tool for shopping experts around the planet.

    rules and regulations for this board...

    1. threads that are not strictly related to forum topics will either be re-classified by the moderators as 'supertrash' or deleted.

    2. posts containing obnoxious, derogatory, defamatory, insulting, vulgar, vile and vicious content will be deleted.

    3. members who insult other members will be terminated.

    everyone who was banned broke these rules.. a lot. simple. i could probably ban more people if i could be bothered.. but ive got better things to do [it's summer where i am and i'd rather be getting skin cancer at the beach that reading the tireless rants of bitter and twisted supertrashers who are trapped in front of computers at home in a blizzard somewhere on the other side of earth].

    i only set up supertrash because it was a way to deal with crap on the other forums. i found it entertaining - and still vaguely do - but where irony and sarcasm is reduced to endless and tired racial slurs, religious slurs, and homophobia - then it has pretty much lost it. in the real world i am the most liberal minded person you are ever likely to meet. i have no interest to be telling people what they can and cannot say or do....unless those opinions are directed in a consistently malicious way towards other individuals on MY WEBSITE. [read: mods - who are volunteers in the first place - and others who have made substantial positive contributions to the resource content of the board] or collective groups of people [whether they are black, white, jews, gays, lesbians, christians, muslims, pakistanis, midgets, whatever]...

    if you don"t like it here you can always leave. membership isn't compulsory. i don't give a shit. it's a community board i provide and i dont care how many pairs of diors you own [im sure i own more anyway] nor do i need to be paying for the bandwidth on threads about how many chicks you fucked on their rags. doesn't interest me. what i do care about is that we are providing an informative resource and communication tool for shopping experts around the planet. supertrash is only a small [though nevertheless entertaining and pointless] part of what superfuture is. but to be honest - after the shit flying around here the past few months i am seriously thinking about locking it for a while. the jury is still out. i really won't lose any sleep.

    i'd prefer not too.

    so again here it is---------->

    1. NO HOMOPHOBIA

    2. NO RACIAL SLURS

    3. NO RELIGIOUS SLURS

    4. NO PERSONAL ATTACKS ON MODS

    5. yeh -- and threads that are totally depraved are probably also going to get deleted

    now who wants to sign up to help mod the trash?

    the new trashmod can decide the fate of westside. until then i don't care. i'm going back to the beach...

  5. dont fuck with my mods.

    lowery you should be demoted or at the very least give yourself an infraction. i often think you do not have the temperament nor the aptitude necessary to moderate. out of any moderator here you have got to have the biggest ego (carl has his moments, but he's still a kid). if you are gonna moderate, than shut up and do so fairly. make like wayne and be part of the administration so shut your pie hole, do your job and stop desperately trying to post like the rest us non-mods. you're like the rent-a-cop who enforces policy that suites his own agenda...or who buys beers for certain minors he favors.

    while i didn't particularly enjoy ddml's moderation toward the end, i do admit that i liked him as a person (not mod). it is difficult for me to lament his resignation (just like fade2black2), because it was his decision. if any moderator or member cannot handle an open forum, than i cannot imagine as how they react to actual crisises/ confrontations in the real world. i hope that ddml just comes back as a member.

  6. you will have to ask him the reason he quit...i cannot speak on his behalf. but the 2 events happened at the same time so i dont think it was a cooincidence.

    wayne,

    so are you saying that digital denim quite because of jmatsu's last comment in the "mods you hate the most." wouldn't it have been better moderation for one of you to actually have closed the thread? the very vehicle for comment of that very nature.

    if a moderator quit because of that comment, i don't think that the individual who was actually given mod status had the right temperment for the job anyhow.
