Denime
in superdenim
Initially purchased lot 221 because the 220 was out of stock.. but managed to track down a pair. The 221 is great too but the 220 has a higher rise and less taper, which I quite like. After wearing these for a few days they are my favorite cut and fabric of all time. The front photo makes them look slimmer than they are but the side shot shows the true fit.

I stirred them around a couple of times but didn’t go crazy. They fit well as is.. but a little more shrinkage over time wouldn’t hurt.

For those interested:
Lot 221 34x32
Pre soak: W: 18.25”, FR: 12.5”, BR: 16”, Thigh: 13.25”, Hem: 8.75”, L 35”
Post soak, hung dry: W: 17.5”, FR: 12”, BR: 15.75”, Thigh: 12.75”, Hem: 8.5”, L 33”
Soaked in very hot water for 45 minutes and hung dry. I really like the cut! Originally wanted a pair of 220 but they were out of stock everywhere. Definitely happy with these though!

IMO, from personal experience from many cuts but not the 3005, it's better to have the waist a little too big and wear a belt to take up the slack than to have the waist fit just right and then the thighs are too tight.
Most definitely good advice. It was hard to judge the 3005’s in the store because the inseam was so long. The 34 and 36 both felt roomy in the thigh and rise. Still undecided.

A question to y’all with 3005 experience. What are some tips to sizing them right? A size 36 was about 1.5” too large in the waist and hips. The size 34 fit snug, but comfortable in the waist. Also.. with the massive stock inseam it was impossible to judge the fit. Just looking for some sizing tips. Thanks!

So as a Warehouse virgin I purchased a pair of 1000xx last month. They’ve had two machine washes to remove the shrinking (no detergent etc). But I can’t believe how soft the denim has gone. Is this normal?
That has been my experience. I sometimes wish they were a bit more rigid but the softness is unbelievably comfortable.
This is my pair after many machine washes and runs through the dryer.

Hi all! I am new to the denim / warehouse game. Am researching my next pair (currently own the 800xx). Hope to gather some opinion here regarding the following models based on the silhouette and availability.
I do enjoy the 47 and 66 cut so far but open to explore other shape. But I found the hem size of 23 is my upper limit. So I am not a fan of very wide jeans. (1003xx was ruled out due to its wide hem size)
1001xx (1947cut) vs 1100 (66)
- wonder what’s the general comment here on both cuts? Can I presume when compared to 1100, the 1001 has higher rise and wider leg room but tigher on the top block? How does the 1001xx compared to the sugarcane 47 and the 1100 compared to Resolute 710?
- when I searched for eg 1100, seems only the “2nd hand” is available?1101 - I learnt it is repro of the 66 cut. What’s the difference between 1101/1100 regarding the shape?
Is there any meaning of xx in the model number? Also, wonder why warehouse is appealing to you compared to the other Osaka 5 as the listed price is relatively high. I guess the accuracy on the details is a big thing?
Any thoughts welcomed. Any subjective recommendation of other choices will also be appreciated. many thanks.
Here are my 1001xx heavy ounce after a handful of washes and a few hot dryer runs. The denim starts off very soft right away (maybe mine are an outlier? Bought non wash. They were never rigid or stiff at all). They continue to shrink slightly in length. The waist and top block tighten up with each wash but stretch back out quickly. They are the most comfortable pair of jeans I’ve ever worn. The fit feels like a middle ground straight fit. Not too slim, not too wide.

Where did you get the Rocket Saddles from @DC2020? They look great!
I sent them an instagram message and they got back to me with info… it was pretty easy. Shipped EMS. Took roughly 10 days from ordering until I had them.

Looking very nice @DC2020
Rockets have been very helpful and chatty. Regarding sizing, they said "501XX(1947) has a front rise of 32cm and a rear rise of 42cm. Our company has made the back rise 1.5-2cm shallower than the 501XX(1947)." So it could be inferred Rockets have tweaked the measurements based on the vintage references they had in hand for fit purposes. Definitely the opposite end of back rise scale to Freewheelers which is markedly high - can't remember if they based theirs on a WW2 original - can anyone recall?
Rockets also said they have previously done a 37 model using the same measurements as the WW2. They plan to have a run again.
Pics are of their 37s - liking the denim
Wow.. it will be hard not to grab a pair of those when they do it again. Thanks for posting the photos. Also liking the denim a lot.. not sure if it’s the same as the denim on their current offerings but looks great.
Doesn't sound like the freewheelers back rise would work for many people.. but so much depends on the shape of the pattern.

@DC2020 the Rockets look really good from afar and you landed at solid fit to boot.
I noticed the measurements don't include the back rise... how is that? If you have time, would be interested in back rise measurement / waist for comparison
Tag size 36. After one hot wash the back rise measures 15.5” and the front rise measures 13.25”. The waist is 18.25” flat across. The rise feels high (and extremely comfortable). Compared to my warehouse 1001xx the rise feels quite a bit deeper.
Some detail shots for fun.12 -

Hej team Rocket...how are your WW2 jeans are coming along?
I love mine. Ordering was really easy and quick. The sizing was exactly as advertised after a hot soak. The denim is dark and crispy and the cut fits me well. Only like 7-8 wears so far bc it’s super hot out but will be wearing them all the time come fall. You thinking of getting a pair?

Just picked up these Mister Freedom Midnight Riders by Sugarcane.
10 oz. Denim, Indigo warp, black weft
These are a little long so the ankle pockets are mostly hideen by cuffs but I've been after these for so long I don't care.
I first saw these worn by (former?) SF Member Cotton Duck and in love but rarity and economics would prevent me from picking up a pair.
(Image below)
Until last week. Saw these for pretty cheap online in a size I could make work...so inpulled the trigger.
Still getting used to the wider leg openings but the construction and denim are fantastic.
Spot on fit… the leg opening + boots is perfect. What boots are those?

Just picked up one of the himel bros natural tee shirts.. love it. The cut is similar to a whitesville with a little extra length. The material is lightweight and super comfortable. Anyone else check these out?

Nice! I’ll keep an eye out for your posts. The 220A is a cut you can wear every day easily! The boots are wesco mister Lou’s.. purchased back in the good old days when they used to be in stock ha
