I never got one of these NGs, description always says they fit M to M.
can anybody tell me if they fit to Jackets and Vests in XL?

    Thanks.

“M” for the NGs means male zip track. The new NG4 comes with an extra adapter that lets you use it zip into a liner and not just shells as previously. They’re one size, if you got one you’d be fine

  2. Does “P30AL” annoy anyone else? I know it’s stupid but the “A” in P30A used to mean removable cuffs, and these FW2324 pants are just full length. P30L-DS would have made more sense. I dunno

    Lets talk Coats.

Has anyone over the years had an Acrnm coat that they really enjoyed?

I'm partial to the J46-S. It seems to be the right amount of everything. Versatile, simple and great.

J33-E was pretty slept on, but I'm a huge fan of it. I would love an opportunity to own a J62-PB or J38-LP, though

  4. Errolson once said "copy the process, not the result" in that interview Race Service put on YouTube. I think you missed the mark on doing something inspired by the Blazers versus just making a very crude replica of them imo

Also how are they as swimming trunks given the mesh pockets

I'm a little late to the discussion, but I just wrapped up a trip to the beach and decided to use said travel plans as an excuse to purchase a pair of SP29K-M.

Comparing to SP29-M, there are a few quality of life upgrades. Similar to P34-E, there are small patches of GoreTex that serve as reinforcement in high-stress areas. And similarly to P24A-E, there are loops on the interior of the shorts that you can hang them up with. In addition to the mesh pocket bags, there are also small drain holes on the lower cargo pockets that are far less effective at emptying liquid compared to the interior pockets, but still help make the shorts more suitable for swimming. Lastly, the (much lighter) fabric has a ripstop weave. The necessity of this is debatable, but a slight surprise as it doesn't show in photos.

The negatives first: The excess length on the integrated belt is annoying in water. The retainer loop does not help much and while you can cram it into a pocket, it won't stay there for long. Maybe a minor nuisance that will affect some more than others, but this is my biggest complaint. Secondly, the pocket array. It's just overkill. I did find some use for it by being able to swim in the ocean with keys to a car (with no worry about loss) but no pair of swim trunks need all this storage. And when you're not swimming, storing any item larger or heavier than maybe wireless earbuds can be pretty uncomfortable for walking around or sitting.

The positives: The fabric used on the "K" variant is much lighter than it is on SP29-M which makes for a much better pair of swim trunks but more importantly a better pair of shorts as well. Whether or not you like the metallic look or not will be up to you, but I'm indifferent and it's not too shiny in person. The shorter length is also much more summer appropriate and in my opinion, comfortable. Of course, they also look cool.

So if you're searching for something to swim in, you can probably look elsewhere. But if you want a pair of summer shorts that can be used for swimming in a pinch, these are great. Especially when you can get them on sale from HBX for "only" $330 USD. Overall I'm pretty happy with my purchase and wish I had just skipped SP29s in SS22 and waited for these

Man I am really not a fan of the neck closure on the J120 and new J28. I feel like it is so lazy, like lets just add another piece of fabric to conceal the zipper.

    J120-GTPL, Front view [ Color: SCHWARZROT/BACKER GRAY ]

Unrelated but nice to see Ian wearing Mykita instead of some tacky frames from Balenciaga or whatever else as has been the status quo for model shots lately

  7. Honestly would rather see overstock, even if it were without sales, than see pieces getting scalped. Errolson seems to struggle with finding a balance, though opening pre-orders would probably be a good way to dial in the right quantity for not only the item itself but the sizes. Small stock always seems to disappear quickly and then XL will sit for a year or more.

Of course I'm just saying this because I want my chances for the upcoming J36-WS to be as high as possible when I know it's going to be a sought-after jacket and competition to cop will be intense

It look like they updating the old belt system which is better.

The removal of belt loops is a downgrade imo. Don't see why all the silhouettes that used to feature both (including P15) have dropped them to become integrated waist band only

    Hi all,

I've been eyeing the P23Q-DS recently, and noticed a difference in the belt as pictured on the Acronym official site, as compared to the pictures from various stockists.

    Acronym official site:

    P23Q-DS_0156.thumb.jpg.9b52ab64a1f0dc6200038e01c7d7c50b.jpg

    Stockist:

    HAVEN-P23Q-DS.thumb.png.fae06a623a40c0ba37907eda2faef30d.png

So from the stockist photo, there appears to be an extra front segment to the belt.

Does anyone have any insight on this?

    Thanks in advance.

Mothersite pics are taken way in advance, so it's not uncommon for there to be changes with the final release. The cuffs on the S29-PR are another recent example. For the P23Q specifically, that extra piece is a quick release tab, similar to the one on Coevo exclusive P30s. When you pull on it, the tension on both sides of the integrated belt is relieved allowing you to take the pants off just a little quicker than individually manipulating each buckle. Not super useful but it looks cool imo

  10. Little early for FW, figured this drop would still be part of SS23. Not that it really makes any difference, unless maybe the release cadence is accelerating

what’s the general advice on acronym Pants ? Do you size for waist or height/length? I know it depends on the model too, I’m looking at a p10-ds

Always size for length. Most pants - including P10 - are relatively generous in the waist. The only thing that’s tricky is sometimes the measurements can be either inaccurate or inconsistent

if you had to pick 1 acrnm shell, one liner, one pant/short to rock for the rest of your life, what would it be? y?

if you could have 1 item that hasn't been made yet, what would it be (i.e. j1a but in nylon) ?

For a shell? J1A-GTPL. It’s a bit more attention-grabbing than my J47-GT (or even a J1B-GT) but being able to stow it in a bag gives me the option of always taking it with me just in case the weather is unpredictable. Trying to fold GoreTex Pro is just a nightmare. As far as liners go, the J78-WS is fantastic because it’s extremely warm but also very stealthy. J58 and J91 might have more pockets but this isn’t exactly something I find necessary for a liner. Pants are easy. The everyday wearability of P10s is just unbeatable. DrySkin is the popular choice but I would go with Stotz personally.

Unfortunately the one item I’d like that hasn’t been made yet almost existed. If only the J1A-FO made it to production

    Long. P30s are already “ultra-wide”

I did searching on this thread back to 2014.

Is anyone using a 14" laptop in their 3A-1? I understand that it's not really a laptop bag as it doesn't allow the bag to conform to your body since it can't bend in the middle section. Does anyone have difficulty taking their laptop in and out along with other items inside of it?

The next step up is 3A-5 with a dedicated laptop cover/pocket but it seems too large and unwieldy for simply a smaller laptop. No in-between looks like.

I've crammed my older 13" MacBook Pro which is roughly dimensions as the new 14" into my 3A-1 on occasion and while it isn't comfortable it'll get the job done just fine. But there is an in-between - the 3A-13TS (Or 3A-8TS if you can ever find one)

Edit: Didn't read the post above. I second the suggestion

  15. Sad I missed out on P24A-S but you win some and you lose some. A little frustrating that we had at least a week to prepare for the retailer drop which is mostly sitting, and  then we barely get notice for two highly sought after pieces that have desperately needed a re-release. But I guess it’s more of a quantity issue anyways when 1500€ pants sell out within minutes. That being said it’s nice seeing a “new” Stotz pant and the flex panels above the knee on the P24s are an upgrade I never knew I wanted, and I’m a huge fan of G2/G3 Crye combat pants…

I thought Bagjack make these for acronym? Should be a supreme quality product, made in Germany.

Bagjack is great, but at the end of the day people are making these bags, and people make mistakes both in production and QC. You’re unlikely to have this issue, but customer support has your back and if it doesn’t - a chargeback from your card provider will. “Made in Germany” really doesn’t mean anything. And about the Cordura bags, they utilise the exact same pattern. It’s just the material that’s different

    Hello there!

Appreciate advice or experience with folks on the 3A-1.

Debating between the Xpac 3a-1 vs the Cordura (ranger green) version.

Aesthetically, I like the xpac version better but my most important criteria is longevity (looks news after a long time) and durability (can take a beating). Weight and waterproofness are secondary.

I would have gone with the xpac but I've read a few posts here saying it doesn't age well?

X-Pac can "flake" but my 3A-1 has been going strong for quite a while and hasn't shown any compromises to integrity. And I'm pretty hard on it, too. I've seen some nasty flaking when it comes to the older foil bags but rarely for standard X-Pac and only on bags that are super old or very heavily used. That being said, the Cordura variant is probably even tougher. While a higher denier is usually accompanied by diminishing returns, the -COR still has over double the face fabric weight. In addition, the middle layer of the laminate with the "X" is made with aramid fibres giving it another advantage. You'll more than likely be fine with X-Pac but I suggest you compare the fabrics VX-21 Ripstop (X-Pac) and X-50 Tactical (-COR) to inform your decision

I think the formula right now is just to add more flaps and to jack up prices for every collection

Either that, or release archive pieces as new ones. J4 becoming J111, J10 becoming J97, J46 becoming J103… The gap between retail pieces and exclusives has never been greater

  20. I’m liking the look of Schwarzgrün but it doesn’t quite satisfy my hope for the return of the Petrol colour. Interest has been piqued when it comes to P46, but SS23 is mostly kinda meh looking to me

  21. Errolson must have partnered up with ASUS again and it looks like there's gonna be an Acronym/David Rudnick customised ROG Flow X13. As if the G14 wasn't overpriced enough, the follow up is gonna cost $3500 USD supposedly. Maybe it'll drop alongside more tacky gamer merch. Can't be the only one who thinks this is stupid. (Not my photos btw)

Can the CH material on a pant return?

Which model of pant would you like it on?

As cool as a P30-CH rerelease would be, I wouldn’t care for the Gen 1.1 treatment. But I would love an opportunity for more P10/P10A in that fabric. That being said, if it isn’t the same luxe modacrylic blend as it used to be I’ve got zero interest
