@Henkka I would say go with your usual size. Here are the measurements for the Black 1947 Type III's I sold Waist: 35", Thigh (From Crotch) : 12.75", Leg Opening: 8" , Inseam: 33". The waist came in a bit smaller at about 34.5" when i first got them ,but with trying them on a few times, they stretched a bit.

@Lazerr Much appreciated! Was this measured flat?

  2. Looking for a bit of advice regarding type III blacks, do these fit TTS in the waist? For reference I wear 34 in both LVC '54 ja Levi's STF, both fit me great and are about 43-44 cm waist.

Any suggestions for whether to order from PSA or Hinoya to Europe?

  3. @Maio Sorry about taking so long with this fit pic, the quality is also subpar, but shall do for now! So this is now once washed (by me), size 44 raw originally. I have worn this for a little over one week everyday now, and it has softened and stretched a little bit. Back length is 67,5 cm, shoulder width 50 cm, P2P 55 cm and hem about 53 cm, arm length is a little hard to measure, because its so curved, but my result was 67 cm. My own chest measurement is about 106 cm and this fits perfectly on the chest, I'm also 188 cm tall with long arms and I think the fit is perfect, there is some room on belly, but I think this is just a good thing. This jacket is a joy to wear, get yours asap!

Nice congrats! What size did you get and how tall are you if I may ask? :)

Thanks Maio! I went with 44 raw, I'm 188 cm tall and weigh about 90 kilograms with athletic build. Love the high armholes and slim, but not skinny fit of this one. I can post some fit pics after I get some taken.

I assume you got the raw version. It depends on how tight it is right now/how much do you want it to shrink. Either a simple soak with warm water or a soak + spin through the washing machine with no detergent or soak + spin + dryer. If you want to get rid of most shrink a soak + spin in the washing machine will give you extra peace of mind for further machine washes later on.

Yes, I went with the raw version. My idea was getting rid of most of the vertical shrink at least for setting the creases. Think I'm gonna throw it in the washer for cold wash first and see how it goes from there. May I ask why do you use spin with the wash? Doesn't it create the "funky" fades discussed here a bit earlier?

  5. My type II jacket just arrived from denimio, in about two weeks from ordering through customs to Finland, so I think it was rather fast. The jacket is amazing and fits just as I wanted it to fit, will be perfect after adjusting the measurements by washing. Huge thanks to everyone who helped me with sizing, it is only a shame that I didn't purchase this jacket 2 years ago! Wuold you guys have any tips to washing? Straight to the washer/bathtub or week or so of wear before washing?

    TCB50SJKT TCB 50'S JAKET / DENIM JKT TYPE 2ND

    Size 42, Non-Wash

Denimio measurements (accurate)/ after one hour of soaking in hot water measurements

    chest :          53,5/52 cm

    length:            71/68 cm

    shoulder:        49,5/46 cm

    sleeve length: 69,5 /67cm

    waist:               54/52 cm

So, wait a minute, are these the 360 method chest measurements? On denimios page they're saying their measurements are P2P but on the other hand the measurements from TCB's website are larger and ought to be 360 method, I'm a little confused . My chest measurement is 106 cm and I'm tall, 188 cm with athletic build and wanted a fit that is regular with a touch of slim :D which size wuold you guys suggest for me? And many thanks for your input!

  7. The type II jacket has been discussed to a great length on this thread, but has the fit changed lately (1-2 years)? It seems to me that the jacket is shorter these days from fit pics in this thread than what it used to be. Also, does anyone have pre/post wash measurements from sizes 42 and 44 or is the denimio measurements accurate? I tried an LVC type II jacket which fit pretty good, but was a bit too short and maybe a tad boxy as well. Thinking of buying a TCB one for this summer after 2 years of drooling it over the internet :D
