Momotaro look like they are heading a new direction. On their official website the current line is updated with new leather patch not the classic peach boy logo, the buttons are different and the denim cuts are more modern. I didn’t see a single pair that has a similar cut to the current stuff. cant say that I’m impressed.

sorry for the late response the denim is not cone mills it the current stuff LVC have i think it's made in Bulgaria. quality is good but not better than my cone mills. the jacket is regular line levis.

These are my momotaro 0405-v 15.7oz no battle stripe and exactly how I like it. this pair is a size 33W my more relaxed pair. I also have the exact pair in a 32W which still fit but a bit more snug in the waist. One tip I will give anyone with momotaro is the waist barely stretch more than 1cm and that’s pushing it. If u are stuck between two size go for the bigger one. As u can always wear a belt if needed. I soaked these once before wearing as u can still keep the rigid feeling without walking around in stiff cardboard feel. i am just below 5 10 and weigh 12.5 stones

Normally all my other LVC, momotaro, pbj, nudies, Lee or standard Levi’s I wear waist 32. But LVC 1947 runs small so size up atleast one,I got waist 33 and still fits snug at the waist

Here a few pics of my LVC 1947 fitting more on the relaxed side of things as I lost a bit of weight. Back to the gym now so should slowly start to fit the way they did when I first got them . Used to fit more snug all around 1947 is my favourite cut from LVC line I also have 1966 cone denim but the 66 the front pockets are too shallow imo. But prefer the width of the leg opening on 66 but 47 for me is better all around. I also like the fact LVC 501 fade slow I’m not one for super high contrast fades. Although one of my Edwin’s has ended looking that way. (edit been bath tub soaked twice before wearing minimal if any leg twist on this pair)

This is an update on my ed39 justv over 4.5 years worth of wear around 3-4 times per week. I have rotated this pair with other denim but it’s been my main jeans since I purchased them. They are slowly forming holes in the crotch area which is normal. I do wish I washed it more often though to get a lighter colour. Mine will defo get a crotch blowout before they turn light enough. Iv been washing them 2 times per year some years 3. They have shrank a little and the legs feel slimmer compared to when I got them. The quality of the denim is top notch (rainbow selvedge) and has high quality pocket bags Edwin’s are under rated for sure. sorry for bad quality image i need to upgrade my phone.
