out of curiosity, how many folks use their gravity pockets, and what do they carry? my phone’s too fat for them usually and things like a pocket tool slide right through. maybe i should carry my wallet in there for some tap to pay convenience? but E’s new jutsu had me realize i haven’t been capitalizing that space since the novelty wore off if y’all have some EDCs

^ this i most definitely agree with, scaling has shifted the passion of world building to something i see marked up on ssense and don't fully connect with. coming from the more "craft" culture of denim and apparel like that i do wonder about the long term. i do hope all the halo pieces and experiments with new forms and IP continue out of CZ. the previous note on cost is i think a sticking point and if the CN factory pieces were truly more affordable and approachable and the small runs continued their meteoric rise in cost it would at least set values amongst the works that i think could be of value. but my last rambling is that there may be production methods a mega factory affords in a way that a small purpose built facility may not have access to, but this is just postulation. niche is niche and no one likes their spot blown up. I remember seeing acr in publications as a kid, but didn't touch a piece until 2016 and I'm still infatuated with the work, but it certainly feels like going through the motions of another persons growing pains the past few years.

I feel like this comes up here a lot, I don't know if it was 2-3 years ago, but the factory in china was shared and ultimately it's probably the best option for production of the garments worldwide. I do wonder if some designs are being altered to better allow for their mass production, but it really comes to that, when consumers see product defect they say it's because it's made in china, but it's really that it's made at scale. If CZ acr factory was making the unit quantities of the retailer products now, I'd have to assume their would be a decline in quality to meet that need. that said there are certainly differences I notice, but i think it's just the eye of nostalgia.

p43-gt is surprisingly nice, layers over other pants easily and has a good baggy contemporary fit that can easily convert with the zip and cinch. if i snowboarded they‘d feel very burton consulting era appropriate. haven't had a chance to put them through the ringer yet since it’s insanely hot out and can barely tolerate Stotz at the moment, but a cool shell layer with hella ergo cut. i‘ll need an excuse to shovel some snow this year sizing is pretty long as an overpant. i‘m tall so that’s exciting for me. but it has the belt so easily fits. i‘m a 34W with a size L as I do all acr, aside from some M i’ve had since 2015. could likely fit a 38 in there if you didnt have bulky base layer will share some pics when i can

J95-WS was (F) AuxZip so i’d assume the same for PL (it’s an outer shell not a liner)

SS23, saw these a few months back, exactly the short that should have released last year, good fit and finish

haha yes i just mean resolved as in resolution, eg goal set and product realized, the codds just don’t hit the spot. that said the GT outer shell pants with drawcords is spot on for function. for the FW release i thought the new wide block vest was slated this season and included in retail releases,no? also anyone know about those multi pants E is wearing with that white J1A-TS (assuming thats 2023 )

tbh i absolutely loath how they resolved the draw cords. having the cord locks in the waistline of the belt makes it so you have to press them against your body should you choose to wear a belt and i haven’t found them to securely hold pants when loading pockets due to the elasticity. just feels like the simplest, but least considered solution compared to how effective all variants of the webbing QLQR are, but maybe i need to try them more this season. (that said there should be a dual strap QLQR with say a fidlock buckle so pants can quickly come undone, would be a nice functional addition)

2019-2020 the formal drop was the last week of Oct, last year it was the 19th of Oct if I recall correctly so it's gonna be another week or two I'd think. that said i've been frantically checking every day since E's bday haha
