"Busy at work" here as well. Very little opportunity to wear the jeans as it's either been work or hot (for the UK).
managed to get some wear in at the Red Rooster festival this weekend. Really enjoyed Pokey La Farge. Kids were more impressed with fussball table. Some nice rides courtesy of the VHRA
it would appear kameisenpai is my spirit guide.

They've arrived!!!!!
looks like the parcel force or some other handler had a REAL good look at what was inside. The jeans had bEen shipped in an additional plastic liner bag. When they arrived they were outside and it was clear Where they packag had been opened.
I'll park my frustrations and just be very glad to get back on the contest.

STILL NO JEANS
STILL NO CONTACT
Messaged again on Instagram. This really doesn't feel reasonable anymore.

Will there be a prize for the person who had the longest wait?

Continuing my trait for tardiness, but I have also posted mine back (through Royal Mail) last Monday. The nice lady said they would take up to two weeks. Really looking forward to receiving a new pair and getting started again.
lets hope that all will be well
Still waiting here. My feeling of "Troubled" is now moving to concerned. Will try and contact our artisan again....

Fuck Im still waiting on mine
+1 on the waiting.
maybe I was lucky I didn't have to wait anywhere near this long first time around. Teetering on the brink of annoyance at this stage. Several more messages to the big man have only brought confirmation he received the pair I sent back. That was two weeks ago.

Some goodies there. Oude Gueuze is definitely an acquired taste. I once described it as like beer with tomato juice and battery acid in. In a good way. Still waiting for my pair to return ....

I'm guessing our Artisan is very busy. He's not one for answering emails or Instagram pm's. I was hoping to piggy back an additional purchase into my package. After a few attempts at contact I'll accept my participation in that great internet purchasing pastime, "the waiting game".
"inauspicious" is my word of the week.

It was mentioned earlier that a pair had ended up on an auction site. Maybe that's why @spunkey isn't responding to the mails.
its a shame that they didn't all get back home.

I put on my former Ooe Contest jeans and they were...Way too tight! I think the 20's cut has spoiled me and I grew my waist to help accommodate it! Will be sending off my pair early this week, but can't wait to get the replacement :/
I had the same issue. Pulled out my rising sun blacksmiths at the weekend and thought "blimey these are slimmer than I remember..."

Nice guitars Erk!! I recently sold my jazzmaster as I couldn't get on with it, but they're a beautiful looking guitar

I've been measuring meticulously after every wash except the third one, when I was going on vacation and didn't have time. Here are my numbers for a size 30, 79 cm leg.
Wash: Pre / 1st / 2nd / 4th
Waist: 15.75" (40cm) / 14.75" (37,5cm) / 14.5" (37cm) / 14.5" (37cm)
Inseam: 33" (84cm) / 30.5" (78cm) / 30.25" (77cm) / 29.5" (75cm) --- WHOAH!
I have all the other measurements too, but they're in the +/- 1" range, nothing extraordinary, and most didn't change this time.I was just thinking a couple of days ago that I should have gone with either 1" longer or 1" shorter inseam since I found it neither here nor there after the previous wash; too long to wear without a turn-up, too short with one. I'll have to see tomorrow when I put them on but they're probably (even) more to my liking now.
Note that the washer and dryer that I have access to are of the industrial kind, they probably go a little harder than the regular home appliances that most people use.
Thank you for your measurements! I had a feeling I'd see a bit of a rise. I've got a lot of scope as I'm double cuffed at this stage. It appears that they're as shrinky as my Big Bro which went up a good ten cm

Those may be lighter than mine now! Can't wait to see where they end up by contest end. Really enjoy this looser fit of mine now that all the shrinkage is out of the way. They're perfect with vans, but I haven't been wearing boots lately as it doesn't seem to line up as well (at least with my White's; loose jeans with clunky bulbous boots). Engineer boots ala Volvo would be ideal though
I'm really interested in the extent of shrinking over the course of your washes. The last contest I was in (d33 on denimbro) we all experienced shrinkage over many washes, with the length of my D33 losing about 4"
ive still got a lot of scope for losing leg length, just interested if they're still shrinking after many washes

Warm soaked my Johnny come not so latelys Friday evening. Only saw 1-2cm shrinkage in the measured areas (less than i expected) but left a very noticeable blue ring round the bath. (That got me a telling off).
nice and crispy after an air dry. Been wearing them since and am very happy. They were very rough on my delicate ballerina legs (the 40w must have given that away, eh) but that's not a problem.
i think I haven't got all the shrink out of them yet so I'm planning to wear them for a while then do a hot wash and machine dry.

In terms of "gentle dishonesty" a friend of mine came home to a parcel he'd hope to hide from his wife and had to say "I can't tell you what it is as it's your Christmas present" - he then had to find something for his wife from Japan that would deliver in time.
he naturally had it delivered to his work address.

Oh shit. They’re getting delivered already? I haven’t told my wife about them yet either...was definitely procrastinating on that
That's a quandary! Nb shouts to your avatar - Jackie Mittoo isn't it? That's a great player.

I'd add - that's great service from Mr TCB

Happy Jeans - Tcb 20s contest thread

Just catching up on so many pages of updates. Thank you all for your contributions. I'm going to get back on the thread with some pics asap
My jeans are on their 5th wash rotation and are butter soft. Patch is still there but I can't make out any print. Little fading to speak of.
ive had a shitty summer (bereavement, job loss, sight loss and then getting hammered by customs after buying a bumper package of TCB goodness!).
nb - I bought two tcb shirts (insane shrinking on the triple stitched shoulder seams and the buttonholes are 'loose' so I often have a button undone when I look down...)
the tcb60s I bought are wider legged than the 20s (which struck me as odd) - great jeans but I need to get used to the very low rise. I also bought a tshirt which doesn't fit (it's probably ideal for a 40 chest...). The bright light was the TCB boys jacket I bought for my son. It's a delight. Exceptional quality.
here's to 2019.
