It'll probably still shrink unless you are going to wear them until they are dry. Why not just size up?

Ebay pickup. I’ll post a fit pick unless they’re embarrassingly tight. In rotation with other jeans it’ll probably be 2 years before I even consider washing so if I get 2 years for what I paid I’ll be content.

You plan on never machine wash your pair then?

Ah, tbh it wouldn’t be unheard of for me to never machine wash them. Probably just do a shower wash while wearing them with Woolite dark

I plan on a cold soak on jeans for about 20 minutes then a steaming hot soak on a little above the knee down to see what I can take off the length. Then probably a hem but I need to get all the inseam shrinkage out

Yesterday, sure, but the only differences today are an 11 oz tee instead of a 7.5 oz tee, and natty cxl Aldens instead of tobacco calf Aldens.

Ebbets hat, Iron Heart tee, Iron Heart One Star leather, Iron Heart 555 18 oz, Alden plain toe, SDA natural belt not shown. If I could only keep one outfit from my closet, this would be it.

I know I’m bringing up an old post but I swear I’m not sure I could contain myself from attempting to rob you for that jacket if I saw you out. That’s on a whole different level. Just looked it up. Guess it’s time to start saving. Amazing!

  5. Just grabbed a pair of FH3002. I hear everyone talking about shrinkage. I went TTS. Shall I expect ball crushing pressure after the hot soak which I need to do because I’d love to get the inseam down to 33” if possible. Thanks in advance

    Sent payment.

Will be entering a pair of Iron Heart PIH5DCT (25 oz indigo/indigo). There's a few people going with this pair.

I still have a choice between bybeatle and IH 21-s

seems like everyone is keen on watching these Bybeatle fade

  7. Bybeatle Volume one or Iron Heart 666s-21 both under 30 wears. It’d be cool to keep the bybeatle alive(Don’t know why they aren’t super popular)love these fuckers. Payment made

Wearing the SM310DX-P2 painters today. They're work pants from the automobile club line. A bit showy, but since I am (exceptionally) doing some manual work today, it's justified. I love the fabric and I can't wait to see how it evolves.

You have a fit pic of these anywhere?

  9. How's the sizing on SD-103? I'm normally a 32 and the pair I'm looking at is 31. After soak would they be too small? Also listed inseam is 33.75 pre soak. Does SDA do their inseams smaller? Thx in advance

I went TTS with a 34 in the 1960 Steer Rider. Timothy @ CC told me they run two sizes smaller. I tried on a 35 first, and both of us were very MEH, that's not a good cut for me. It was pretty baggy and unflattering, and the jeans are hemmed long, so I had sloppy double rolled cuffs. At that point I had written them off for me. Then I decided since I was there and he had a 34, I should try that pair on. It was totally different and both of were rather surprised at how much better the smaller size fit me. The waist runs a little smaller because they're a mid-to-high rise cut and the waist is supposed to sit above the hips. Personally, I think it's a little misleading to say they run 2 sizes small.

This denim feels like with a little bit of wear that it'll stretch some, but not a ton. I haven't washed them yet to see how much if any they'll shrink and get any residual starch out. I think this denim is stellar, and I was very enamored and intrigued with it while I was hanging out at the desk. Great dark color, streakiness, with just enough irregularity to not be off-putting.

Overall , the jeans are very, very nice. Superbly made, cut is rather good on me I think. BUT, the one thing that I can't get down with is how widely spaced the back pockets are. They're made to emulate Lee rider's jeans, so that when you have s wallet in your back pocket and rider your horse you wallets isn't right under your ass bone. Functional in certain conditions, but odd looking to me. I LOVE the pocket spade shape and arcuate, but I would prefer they were "normally" spaced. Makes me look like Mr. Wide Glide, LOL. From the back they look like a very different pair than from the front.

Regardless, my return period has expired, and they're mine now...

    measurements in inches, raw, unhemmed, size 34. The denim is sanforized, but unwashed;

    waist: 32.5"

    Front rise: 12.25"

    Back rise: 15.5"

    Thigh @ crotch: 13.125"

    Thigh @ crotch 2" down: 12.375"

    Knee @ 14" down: 9.25"

    Hem: 8.75"

    inseam: 35.25"

Great Jeans but I'm definitely with you on those back pockets. Not something I could deal with. It's too bad because they look sharp as hell besides that.

To the best of my knowledge there wasn't a washed version sold of the bybeatle vol 1.

My guess is that the seller soaked/washed them when they were new and is now describing them as one-washed etc. Should be fine.

You guys were right. Said he hot soaked but never wore so here's my new conundrum the inseam on these is 36" which I need to get hemmed down to 31" but after a hot soak I'd expect the inseam to be around 34" so if I take them to get hemmed and then down the road wash them and they shrink 2 inches I'll have some really nice capris. Advice?

Well he was selling all NWT jeans and these were just listed as new without tags. So I'm thinking he was mistaken and I'll give them a soak. You could be right though. I guess I'll be able to tell with the stiffness, etc. if he did. Thx for the help

  13. Not trying to ruffle any feathers here but is there a slimmer cut in these jeans for us with skinny legs? Every fit pick here is way too baggy. Unless we are reverting back to the old JNCO days. I personally am not seeing the appeal. To each his own I guess. Were these made specifically for those with bigger thighs? A 12-14" rise just looks silly on me. Overall construction looks top notch however.

The kicker is they were actually chainsticked at Big to my exact measurement. Big thanks to the guy who sold them to me.
