Doesn't look like Beyond ventured out much design wise. Using mystery fabrics and possibly offshoring production has let them drop their prices a bit. Would be nice to know some specs on the garments. Some of their original line was a getting up there in price but not crazy. I'd say the one women's piece is a miss with the fur collar. Comes across as trying too hard to girly up a design. Seems out of place on a soft-shell.  From a technically focused brand to make that their first move into the women's market seems off.

I think that the designs are quite a departure from the military aesthetic they use in their Axios system, but otherwise, I agree with what you said about the fur collar. And yeah, the lack of detailed info on their fabrics has kept me from pulling the trigger on any of their pieces. Personally, I wish that more brands adopted the Outlier approach and listed out as many details as possible even though I know that it's not practical.

Any suggestions on a tech-ish blazer suitable for indoor use (not insulated)? In other words, looking mostly for the specific look rather than technical features, but figured I'd ask here any way.

Something along the lines of Veilance, but their blazers are a bit too flimsy for my taste.

The Alchemy equipment blazer looks nice but I'm not sure if its more for outdoor use

I know underwear has been our hot topic for a while, but what about socks? Especially Summer-ey no-show/odor resistant socks (to keep my shoes from smelling like ass)

I really like the Darn Tough, Vertex Tab No Show. Excellent for odor-resistance.

  4. @hiei I haven't tried those ones but I have tried the stretch wool blend chino AEM041 I think. The cut is regular and they looked like formal pants. I also wasn't a fan of the eVent zippered pocket for the phone. If you have anything larger than an iPhone 4 it probably wont fit.

  5. Looking for hoodie recommendations. Something along the lines of the Mission Workshop: Zurich/Torre and Thunderbolt Sportswear Agility hoodie. Eg, Schoeller or Nylon front fabric with stretch and either a cotton/poly or merino back. I'd buy either of the ones listed above in a heartbeat but they are all sold out and probably never coming back. Ideally priced  <$250.

Are there any Techwear style T shirts, similar (elongated T + similar side splits)  to the Guerrilla group 16F-ES-TK02 tank, or the Acronym S15-DS. Don't feel like dropping 500 on a shirt (I get that its probably nice quality but I don't think its worth it to me atm) , and I'd much prefer a normal T shirt to a tank top. Thanks in advance!

Brandblack Tech T-shirt or John Elliott Sashiko Cropped T. Make sure you know your size with Brandblack, they don't do returns.

Looking to pick up a soft shell. I live in the Northern Midwest and temperature ranges anywhere from -25f in the winter to 95f in the Summer. It's also can be rainy during the Spring.

    Re: Softshell

Did some digging and found what appears to be a very good softshell from SWRVE, light and multifunctional with a nice casual styling. Easy on the wallet as well.

  8. Looking for inexpencive tech basics: t-shirts, longsleaves, sweatshirts. Odor-resistant, quick drying, breathable and looking regular, not like ugly workout clothes.

    Any suggestions?

    any good shorts to recommend?

usually rock patagonia baggies and some alk phenix joints

  10. I've switched to only merino tees, due to being able to wear them multiple times with no smell. My favorite are Outlier's runweights, followed by ultrafines.

I'd also recommend the ultrafines but they are drying up on stock due to supply chain issues. Oliver's Apparel has 100% merino tees at a much better price.

Speaking of recs, does anyone know of any good full-zip hoodies for  <=$150? (Preferably with some good specs.).
