Iron Heart ones seem to be pretty popular. They actually own their own machines if I'm not mistaken?

don't know if they own the machines but the tees are quite nice. collar keeps it's shape through many wash cycles.

^ cheers chaps... the plan is to get some  more wear in from now through the summer (alongside my Ooe and Roy) and try to avoid washing (the 20s, not me, that is).

I couldn't resist some new suspenders / braces for holding up my trousers too... I know opinions are polarised but I do like them... will post fit pics when I get a minute...

    Very nice...

Just some more photos of my 50's jacket, really love it.
Debating if I should wash it soon or wait until the end of the cold and wash it before storing it.

    Looks great Broark

They look great Max. The rise does take some getting used to, but the fit through the leg is spot on.

i have the 14oz OD 777's which I can't wear for work doe to fear of visible arse crack :P

They really do look good. Don't look like you have to sew them  on, I looked at the measurements & thought "never happen!" Might take a shot at the 555's since the rise will spare the public from "visible arse crack."

All - looking for a cold weather coat. What do you think?

    1) Filson Down Cruiser - made in Seattle (where I am), plenty of pockets, water resistant, best color (olive)

    https://www.filson.com/men/coats-jackets/down-cruiser-10652.html

    2) IH N-1 Jacket - more stylish (but maybe less warm?), trimer fit & looks, legendary construction quality

    https://www.ironheart.co.uk/jackets/ihm-14.html

What do you guys think? Any other option I should look into?

A late answer but-I'd go IH N-1.  Wet wool will keep you warm in the rain. Wet down-agh. And water resistant is just that, if it rains enough you're gonna get wet. I own down coats & the N-1. Cold & dry down is great- cold and wet wool is better. N-1 should be plenty warn unless you live in Norway.

What do people think of the SC modified Type II made for Self-Edge:

    http://www.selfedge.com/jackets-vests?product_id=1572

    and

    http://www.selfedge.com/sugar-cane?product_id=1540

Always liked the SC TypeII but no way they'd fit. I bought both  of these & like them. Really like that they are raw state. A lot of shrink in them . I posted pre & post wash measurements for the indigo in the Sugar Cane thread.

  9. I think when the denim relaxes you may like them more  the saddlebags won't be so prominent. I've got the 55UHR's too they get better.   It looks like a good fit to me.

  10. Please share post wash measurents. Thanks! Concerned the 44 will be a hair small in the chest post wash, and too long in the body.

pre and post soak measurements on the raw Type II done IH way

     raw                          soaked

    pit to pit 25.5           24.6

    length 29.5               27.2

    opening 23.5           22

    sleeve 26                 24.4

    shoulder 23             22.1

after warm soak ran it through front loader on hand wash cycle with a little Woolite no spin.  Wore it damp and it set up well.

Also picked up the raw SC Type II black   will post measurements when I soak.

  11. Has anyone bought the new, raw Sugar Cane denim jacket from Self Edge  and if so, how do you like it? especially the denim and extra length (which I need). thanks

Got this a couple of days ago I'll post pre and post soak measurements when I can. Denim looks great picked up the 44 and it hangs on me like a tent sleeves are halfway down my hands and the length- well it's long and I'm happy about it I'm 6-3 230 and unless it has crazy shrink it's going to work. I don't give a shit I'm wearing it either way.
