PBJ type 2. First purchased in 2014, 1 wash. I haven’t worn it a ton but it’s nice when I do. Considering getting another denim jacket, can’t layer a sweatshirt under this one because the arms are too tight. I have fairly broad shoulders and chest. Anyone know a jacket that fits similarly but has a little more room in the arms?

@spitfiredealer I couldn't believe it when I felt them in Self Edge. These are also my first pair under 16oz so that might also play a factor.

Had amazing service at the Portland Self Edge store. I think his name was Jonathan. I walked in only planning on buying a shirt but I was also kind of looking for some chinos. After feeling the 14oz black black PBJ denim they felt super soft. They didnt have my size in store but the dude and I figured out my size with other xx-019 cuts and I ordered them online. They are amazing.

Going to be in Shinjuku district and around Ginza next month... can anyone give me any places to buy flathead,RJB, & samurai?
There are a bunch of places in Ueno to buy Samurais like 2nd and hinoya. I personally wasn't a fan of those stores because they were super cramped. There is an RJB store in Harajuku I think. Check out the Joe McCoy's store it pretty awesome.

Samurai jacquard pockets are the best pockets. The 710 pockets also seem reasonably sized. But basically the jacquard pockets ruined all other pockets for me.

New m65 I picked up at Real McCoy's Tokyo this weekend. I wasn't sure whether to go with a large or medium. Medium was short in the arms and shoulders but good on length. Large was long on length but good in arms and shoulders. My wife liked the large. Gonna layer it and wear as a winter coat. What do you guys think?

go to the real mccoy store in between shibuya and harajuku. it's close to the meiji jinggu-mae station. the one that leads to the basement. not too sure if they had a FH/RJB store in tokyo, but for sams and FH/RJB stuff, ueno should sort you out. americaya, hinoya, hinoya plus mart etc..
Funny you should post this I just got back from the Real McCoy's store in shibuya and it's insane! Never seen a store like it. Self edge and blue owl are pretty sweet but the size and the amount of stuff they have in their store is nuts.
I did pick up the m65. It was pretty expensive but I have been listing after it for years now. Obviously it's extremely well made. I'll post pics once I get back to Korea.

Going to Tokyo in a week. Where is the best place to look at Samurai? Any place have Japan exclusive stuff. Looking to pick up a real mccoy's m65 and some samurai or rjb denim.

Are those little stray pieces of string? I've noticed a few on my pair.

Is that a thing?

Wavy it is. Online, so I can't yet speak to the feel and fit, but very hopeful. It was also the last 36, so it was time to choose.
Nice man! You will love them. I also got them in a size 36 (normally wear size 33 or 34) and I am real glad I did. The rise is a little low but other than that its perfect. The low rise makes it so I can casually show off my Calvin's.

Took the plunge. Kept looking and looking. Fingers crossed the crotch does not ride too high.
You get them Wavy jeans?

I have the deep indigo version which I bought from Okayama Denim and the houndstooth variant which I also got from the BiG sale. the shoulders and forearms are noticeably tight on mine and a little boxy, but I know with regular wear they'll eventually break in and loosen up. It's a weird cut for a jacket but I like them both so will hold onto them.
I have the deep indigo jacket and it was tight at first but loosened up with some wear. I love that thing cant wait till it cools down and I can wear it again.

Mmm. My initial impressions are:
* Both have very slubby wefts and somewhat irregular warps, and are similar weight.
* SEXSG24 has a looser weave, is unsanforised, and stretches more easily.
* SEXSG24 is the rougher of the two, more hairy, more tactile likely due to the larger slubs in the weft, and is less rigid once settled.
* Godzilla has a denser weave and is sanforised.
* Godzilla is more rigid but has a smoother feel, it is more comfortable.
* Godzilla is crocks fast, not sure about SEXSG24 yet.
* Both are pleasing to the hand, perhaps the Godzilla more interesting visually due to the tea coloured weft...I don't significantly favor one fabric over the other, to be honest.
Gozilla, for me, has a much better fit - but that has nothing to do with the fabric.
Need more time with the Wavy fabric though.
Great explanation. Thanks!

Review for the Japan Blue JB0626 is up on my blog.
tl:dr: good value, cool fabric, SuFu probably won't be interested.
I know you said something briefly comparing the SEXSG24 to the Godzilla denim but how similar would you say the two are? And what are the differences?
