I only hear negative things about that Ship John guy. I do think Wesco makes a better boot than Whites, but aren't all those PNW boots similar in design anyway?

I had some issues with the IH forum and never been back since. @itsbenhere IG definitely has a LOT less information than the forums, but I say what I want to say on my blog so I don't post on forums anymore. Doesn't help that denimbro is no fun anymore. Still, i lurk on here and denimbro because IG is not the place to go for information at all.

IG is a game. I don't like everything about it, but I'm playing the game and like it. I've met a lot of people who are now friends from that app and that alone is worth all the downsides.

Yeah that's annoying, especially when guys post it like 7 times in a row tagging each brand in a different story, all with the same picture. So infuriating. I did the story to post thing like twice, felt gross doing it, and haven't done it since.

Yes. Even when the full value was declared, I did not have an issue. That said, I'm not sure if everyone has the same experience.

My biggest issue with him is that he has no perspective. He talks about how $500 shoes are expensive which relative to quality shoes is not true. It may be a lot for someone to spend, but truly well made shoes and boots cost a lot of money. Also, yes, he seems like someone who is very superficially into boots. I don't know anyone who is really into boots that likes the guy. He has been derided consistently since he showed up. His worst moment was when he mentioned that his Truman boots were not evenly lasted as if it were a passing thought. How can anyone who cares about boots not realize how horrendous that kind of mistake is? How can you say the quality is good overall when they screw up that badly? That alone completely discredits him.

Thanks! That area of Kyoto is breathtakingly gorgeous. I love just walking around there aimlessly and taking it all in so I had to take some photos there. At a shrine: Tatton Baird hat, Globe Specs glasses, Self Edge scarf RMC A2, Warehouse sweatshirt, Moto gloves Conner's Sewing Factory jeans, Moto boots

From what I know, the black and white denim fabrics are limited edition fabrics for the new years event. I got a black jacket with embroidery done.

In terms of compliments, no actual denim items ever get complimented. I do get a lot of unsolicited compliments from strangers on my leather jackets and sometimes on my engineer boots as well. My Himel Grizzly gets the most compliments by far due to how much it stands out.

WTF didn't I just buy it? What's wrong with me?

Not getting a pair of the old Flat Head engineers when they were still available.

2.5 year wait? Let's just say that some people will be happy that TCB is entering the Leepro game.

Oh ok didn't know it was larger than the WWII. Glad to know. I will be bringing an actual camera this time, so I will definitely take more pictures!

I think CSF is just a niche within a niche within a niche within a niche. For guys like myself, Flash, and a couple others, CSF is the end all be all. I'm going back to see him in less than a month and will almost certainly order yet another pair (probably first half 46), but many others will simply never pull the trigger. For me, the personal touch of the dm ordering is one of my favorite parts, but I do understand why people don't like it. @Flash how did you size your first half 46 compared to your 47 and WWII models? I know your 47 was one size larger than your WWII

Definitely worth the price for me. Easily the softest piece of clothing I have owned. Love the color as well. The gold tint really makes it look more unique. The review is more detailed obviously, but the short version is that I love it.

This is sort of how I feel about modern/slubby jeans like PBJ and Strike Gold. I respect them, but I have so many jeans already that I have no need to buy them. CSF and WWII jeans are definitely a niche within a niche. For me, it's the history that appeals to me and all the unique little differences along with the more classic cuts. However, I never really bought any until CSF went all out and sort of perfected the genre.

The comments on that article are hilarious It would help if Heddels gave any actual detail or insight into the jeans, but as usual, this is completely lacking.

And don't forget that if you voice any of your displeasure at his terrible customer service on the wrong forum, he goes and tries to discredit you like an absolute jerk. There are few companies in this industry that I would recommend less than WH Ranch.
