  1. Thank you for all the great photos William. These season does look great. I look forward to hopefully getting many pieces.

I just saw the TYPE 007 LIGHTWEIGHT LOGWOOD FLOAT STITCH ANKLE SOCKS, can you tell us a little about these?

You know I love those socks! :) Especially happy to see more ankle ones again.

  2. Hey William, I’ve been noticing some new items pop up in stores. They look really beautiful! Any way you can post close ups of the materials, especially the cotton lawn. I’d love to see them. Congrats on another beautiful season.

  3. Just back from an unforgettable trip to Iceland. Here are a few of my Tender items I brought with me.

I think the low tension cotton sateen has to be one of my favorite fabrics yet.

  4. Thanks William, I know you're super busy and appreciate the response. Anxiously awaiting all the new releases. It's always great seeing all the new dyes and fabrics you work with.

  5. William, the new season of clothing looks really great! I love to see more photos of the sweater if possible, the hat looks amazing! Also, the photo of Deborah clipping leaves, what material is her shirt (dark blue)?

  6. I did another experimental dye. I had the Stock Collar shirt in Carrot that I was hoping would fade faster than it was, so I decided to dye it with a denim blue. It turned out kind of a dull purple. See what you think.

The carrot stills peaks out, which I like and think will look better with some wear and washes:

  7. I did my first experimentation with dyeing and used a few of my Tender items. I dyed some socks, a pair of shorts and jacket. The socks were pretty faded and both the jacket and shorts where white/ecru and just not getting enough wear. Here are the results, far from professional but still pretty cool looking. All of them will definitely get more wear now with the new color. Cool too to see the variation of fabrics getting different results from the same dye. 23fc5c9d-e606-4bdd-9182-e7e09229325b_zps

PS. This was the jacket that I added length onto. Notice the original Tender stitching picked up the dye while the altered stitching stayed white.

  8. Beautiful shirt Mvk,

here is a shot of a few Tender items including a 428 short sleeve shirt (new favorite from past season), Type 420 shirt and a unfinished wollen box cloth coat dyed with ochre.

  9. Here's an altered wattle 420 shirt. I loved the shirt so much I ended up purchasing 2 of them. On this one I decided to remove the side pockets and make one standard shirt pocket. The pocket ended up being a little larger than I hoped but ended up working out with the  size of my new phone (iphone6 plus).

I'm also wearing my Ottoman Dart Shoulder Jacket in Logwood and wattle socks.

  10. I've been lagging on here and meaning to show a project William helped me out with. I was really interested in the printers cotton 460 shirt/jacket but being 6'4" it was a little to short for me. So I got some extra fabric and button and added about 4" in length. I knew there would be a big seam across the jacket, but I didn't mind. It's not the best of photos but gives you an idea of what was done. I gave it a few washes and the extra fabric has the same look as the rest of the jacket now. The people who altered the jacket were great with details of the extra fabric making sure they lined up the guide lines, etc. They also had to completely remove the bottom two pockets and attach them lower as to cover some of the seam.
