  1. Doesn't seem like Acne's Adrians are discussed anywhere in the forum- and not compared. You can see them here at End

Very very similar, but two things stand out to me:

The end of the piece of leather holding the eyelets is not curved and has less stiching than CPs.

The tongue lacks the padded section that CPs have.

Also a different sole, looks like a bit higher elevation.  "full rubber foxing sole and a mock plexi platform."

Anyone have any weigh in on comparison?

  2. Eyeing the new cardholder wallets. Full grain black leather with high shine pebble embossing. The previous years were flat black calf.  The new seems to thin the top bar somewhat and maybe decrease the size of the embossing. It's clear that they are imitating the grain of sting ray.

Which seems the better looking? I'm also wondering about the long-term look of the pebble vs the calf.

Images of the Wallets for comparison.

  3.

just saw these, what do you guys think of them?

I have those gum soles on the chelsea boots, and it's really comfy- looks like they might wear through pretty quick. I think those shoes are beautiful up top but maybe the choice of gum there was a little much- great for the more casual chelsea boot though. Less versatile in my book here.

  4. I admired the Undercoverism sandals posted above- couldn't locate much more info. I also admire the Visvim christo. In the same vein, also with a vibram sole, is the Chaco. I originally ignored this brand, but their all-black Z/2 is mad comfortable and resembles some of the grails with a better price tag. You have options for toe loop or not as well. A look around the internet says toe loop is unnecessary, most have no problems without it.

    Sorry meant to rep you.

I agree on the size sensitive. It's tough finding the right balance. Depending on your foot size you could either be left with a very narrow, tight fitting shoe. Or fine with the width, and clown shoe like with the length. Luckily i haven't had this problem with CP's but my brother has.

Mhm. I also have their chelsea boots in the same size- those are a wonder, and fit perfectly.

  6. Weighing in on the sizing issue- just received a pair of achilles in UK9/US10- (I'm a true US10)

1.25 inch from my longest toe to the shoe edge (generally recommended only a half inch)

considering swapping them out. The width being too little though concerns me. Hm.

It sucks that shoes like this are so size sensitive. too long and it combines with the all-white to give a very clown-shoe appearance.

  7. Hm... English is not my mother tongue, but I thought that "contrast" stands for "difference" while this "mens" line looks like shit more like womens... Imho, of course. His early collections were great (even though he stole ideas)

I wasn't concerned with the gender of his styles. I think I meant the difference between the textures and overall points of focus. Compare the flat and geometric in the mens line with the textured, ruffled of the womens. Sometimes there is similarity regardless, as in the simplicity of the second photo:
