Gave them a wash a couple days ago. Color is pretty accurate. Loving this denim more and more with wear, really excited to see how it evolves with more washes.

Y'all put together another Ooe contest and I'll buy another pair, you can count on it!
I second that

Lol my thoughts exactly

keep them, as karanimal said that extra material will settle nicely and will look good!

I agree the fit looks great! Waist should stretch out just fine, my 883s are always pretty tight after a wash but just a couple days wear and they stretch out a good amount maybe .5-1 in.

You'll make it out there one day! If you do Flagstaff is a great place to see, its so much different than any other part of Arizona or really the southwest in general. I would personally love to make it out to Japan at some point in the next couple years.
Heres some stuff from today.
Got some lunch at a spot called Benitos:
Picked up a few zines over at Family Books on Fairfax (its across the street from the Supreme store):
Also dropped the jeans off at Self Edge and got them hemmed finally so heres a new fit:

Alright you guys here comes a pretty large update and its honestly not even going to be everything because I just dont want to bore you all haha.
First up this is for you, aho. So when I was in Flagstaff my girlfriend and I went to one of my parents oldest friends stores called Winter Sun (they sell holistic products, silver jewelry, and lots of other things made mainly by navajo and hopi people).
Just a bunch of shitty photos of some of the stuff they have:
I ended up picking up this ring with turquoise and coral in it. Its old pawn and im not quite sure about anymore info on it, Phyllis' son Anthony who is the jewelry guy at the store was out of town at the time so I'll have to shoot him an email to see if he can tell me anything else about it.

Congrats! Where are you moving in LA?
Never expected to like it there, but I've had a couple friends move out for jobs, etc. and every time I visit it's just... nice. Sure there's driving, but there's so much to be said for six more months of sun each year, and weather that perfectly fluctuates between "brisk" and "warm". DoLA is looking better and better.
So we booked an air bnb for the next 2 months in Mid City and were gonna just kinda be open to wherever we can find jobs and what area really suits our lifestyle the best. I keep hearing that downtown is getting better and better.

Hey everyone's updates are looking good! Sorry for my absence as of late, been getting ready to move from Minneapolis to LA with my girlfriend. Currently we are 2 days into our trip and we're staying tonight and tomorrow in Flagstaff, AZ (where I grew up). As soon as we get to LA I plan on giving my jeans a wash and I'll flood you guys with photos from the road trip.

Is this now the ooe bartering/contest thread?

The r2 is a great intro to rangefinders! Honestly don't even bother with the r2a, just get an r2 and force yourself to start learning how to read light, you'll be glad you did down the road.

I wish! My Grandparents are children of people who survived the depression so they're cheap and hold onto their cheap things for a very long time haha my Dad has a great collection of vintage stuff (mainly of the cowboy variety) however, plus a lot of really nice turquoise and silver jewelry which you would really like! I'll grab photos of some of his stuff soon and post it for you.

Here are a few photos from my trip to Arkansas thus far (GR only, havent developed any film as I'm still here). The purpose of this trip was for me and my Dad to check on my Grandparents and make sure they're still doing well, they're in their mid 80's and we haven't seen them in the last few years.
We went to eat at their favorite restaurant today, one from the walk in.
My Dad and Grandfather after lunch.
Another from the same restaurant.
My Grandfather is a great storyteller.
I'll post some more photos later but this is all for now.

Oh and the new M-D is on my radar too

nice. finally someone who uses a GR with a viewfinder instead of the goddamn LCD.
Yeah it's really weird for me shooting digital in the first place so I usually just turn the LCD display off and if I'm not using the evf I'm shooting blind. The GR is still pretty new to me and ideally I'd like to upgrade to an M9 or an M240/262 in the near future but we'll see.
