  1. Stevenson! God I love that brand. As it gets too hot to wear my FH's, I'm working more and more on my 714's - fantastic pair of jeans. Also, love their shirts / outerwear - sorry to go off topic. That's a brand I wish was discussed more.

  2. Glad I haven't given them a shot.  I've been interested in FH since I first came to sufu, but it seems like all their models don't have enough rise.  From SE's measurements, I thought the 3012 might be something that could work for me.

Don't get me wrong, great jeans - just a tad uncomfortable at times. I think more recently the issues have been on my end, the dreaded weight gain : (

  3. Where can I find the Beekeeper's cloth in a Size 2 (as it's sold out on Oi Polloi)?

Almost exactly a year on........ new season square-tailed shirts and panel lined jackets all feature a 'Vaughn Pocket'  :)

    Thank you Jason!

  4. Anyone with experience with Studio D'Artisan eyewear? Cheap/good prices so I'm not expecting the quality of something like Effectors, but I'm also not looking for a glorified pair of $10 glasses.

  5. I just bought the new TFH Native Check. The fabric is NUTS, but as these pictures show  I have a rather noticeable rogue strand of fabric that's disconnected from the weave (pardon my terminology). I seen no signs of any tears or anything so I'm unsure how it got there. Kiya any thoughts or advice? I feel like it couldn't have been there when I got it (a testament to your guys' quality control) and today was my first time wearing it, so I'm unsure what should be done with it moving forward.

The second photo does a better job showing what's happened. No tears that I can see anywhere.

EDIT: Should've noted picked up from SESF

  6. 5'9 / 170 lbs (175 cm / 77 kg)

Looking to get the Type 2. Generally a 40 in US shirts. Thinking I should go 42 and if roomy, shrink down a bit. Other option is go 40 and be careful about shrink.

Not really sure - went back through most of the thread and I'm still torn.

    Thoughts?

    EDIT: conversions!

  7. I know your pain, Articulate. Flat Head 3012 seem to have the largest thigh and hips out of all the newer "straight tapered" or "lifter" fits, so you might find the other company's models to be a bit tight in those areas. But these models will all have more room up top than a slim jean (not as much as a straight cut), and a pretty strong taper below the knee:

    Iron Heart 633s

    Momotaro Natural Tapered

    Oni 527 fit

    Stevenson 714 Valencia

Some people also swear by Japan Blue and Left Field cuts in this category, but I haven't handled them in person.

If you're not all that worried about having a strong taper, you might have the best luck with 60s cuts. I find them super comfortable because of the room in the top block, while the slight taper seems to give them a cleaner look than straight cuts. There's an entire thread on 60s repros elsewhere, but a few more mainstream models that stick out:

    Evisu #2000

    Flat Head 3009

    Full Count 1101

(and a plug for Ooe Yofukuten OA02 cut as well)

Sweet yeah, taper's not too much of an issue (especially because it limits my options).

Also thanks @broark ... I'll be heading to SE to try a pair on this evening.

  8. In need of some denim suggestions. I have the big thigh issue and for reference TFH 3012s have been perfect for me.

Basically I'm looking for something with room in the upper block. I'd like some taper but it's not that important since finding something for my thighs is a bitch. If it helps I wear a 32 in the 3012s.

I'm hoping the new Strike Gold's coming later in the winter fit the bill, but I need a new pair in the meantime.

    Any models come to mind?

    Thanks in advance.
