  1. Im looking for a pair of Zipangs (possibly 36 possibly 38 need to see size chart again) and Blue In Green no longer stocks them. Anyone know who has them that ships to the states?

  2. I also have noticed that the aesthetic they're pursuing is a bit different lately, and it seems they're moving away from "workwear" and towards something I can't really describe. It appears they're bringing in more non denim items than ever before. My observation anyway.

Yeah I have noticed the shift in brands. I thought it was kind of cool as I hadn't heard of many of those brands and the market for Osaka 5, heritage, etc stuff is a bit more crowded than it was when Gordon started, but i'd hate for it to be totally at the expense of the classics. At the moment (and speaking only of Jeans here) there is no Samurai, no Kapital, no Fullcount, no Warhouse, no Studio d'Artisan...

I actually wanted to use the 25% off code they mailed me to finally nail down those Zipangs. Oh well.

Here's hoping its just a hiccup and nothing serious. Would hate to hear my favorite denim store in the states is in jeopardy.

  3. Picked up the Indigo/Cream flanned from Indigo Fera that's posted on page one. Know fuck-all about the brand but the pics looked nice and since not a single Japanese brand besides Iron Heart is willing to consider men of girth, I figured I would give it a shot. The cream color looks much more like latte color than in the pics on this page IMO but I actually prefer it. Material is very nice, slightly rigid with a relatively smooth hand. Construction seems up to snuff. Its not the most insanely over engineered thing like some brands you come across but its well built and very clean. "Better" buttons might have been a nice detail but I can live with these for sure.

Fit is spot on for me (yeah yea.. no pics at the moment sorry. Will post when I get some) and this brand could be a really nice option for people who feel frustrated that most brands stop at 22 or 23 inches pit to pit.

Customer service was top notch. Quick email confirmation with a few follow up questions on sizing and the shirt was in the mail the next morning and in my hands the morning after.

Nice to have a new presence in the bay area (er... new to me I guess? Since that pic does say 3 year anniv) and brand representation for Kapital. Will be keeping an eye on the store and dropping in when out in the East Bay.

  4.

What are the measurements on the L?  Got any pics?  Can't recall the difference between XL and L - it's been a while!  Cheers.

@MJF9 please see first post, now updated with pictures and measurements! I'm a little concerned because in the other thread you mentioned your XL measures 60cm across which should be 23.5"... the exact pit to pit measurement I am getting on this large. Perhaps this was one of those shirts with very little difference in the broad measurement across sizes? Pity to think I may never find one I can wear  :(  :(  :(

  5. Thanks for the response.

I have a large Nihon Menpu Chambray from ROY in like new condition. Looking to swap it out for an XL if anyone is holding and wants to size down. See my sig, send a PM for pics, etc etc! :)

  6. guys wtf are you talking about. Click into any thread on pg 1 and its 90% vintage fades/frequent washers. High contrast never wash guy has been dead for years on sufu (or else he fled to reddit.) No reason to be up in arms, you have no opponents. ;)

Been wearing some 3009s as office jeans for a few months and man do they fade fast. My wallet outline is popping hard. Its a conservative office, might have to retire these to weekend wear already.

Still cant hang with the American pocket arcs. Its not even the attitude of them im beefing about -  its just sloppy design. hate that stitch  doubling back in on itself. Thank god they are on my ass and I never have to look at em.

  7. Would this new lot 1002 be like other leepro in the "says-sanforized but actually isn't" tradition? BIG has no description yet and considering a pair to replace my much loved but outgrown 101bs.

  8. Im throwing in the towel and selling through my stacks of 34" jeans that will never fit again to put the money towards things that will fit my new robust physique.

Anyone have experience with the stretch on the 24oz 710s they can share? From looking at BIG it seems these shrink from tagged size. Do these stretch back a bit?

I had a pair of the anniv 25 oz 710s and sized them anticipating them to stretch back out and they kind of never did so I don't want to make that mistake again... but this isn't the same material.

  9. Anyone holding the orig Roy shirt (blue chambray)  with some spare time wanna help a dude out? I wish the original listings were still up but I understand taking them down helps SE avoid a glut of annoying restock questions.

what did this shirt retail for originally?

Anyone w/ a soaked size L that can give me a pit to pit measurement?

  10. Beat to the punch! I expect many updates to make up for stealing the clothes of my young childs back ;)

kidding aside... if anyone else has some pieces they want to cut loose please do get in touch. We can even work out an infant tour if you are sentimental and would like them back after William has grown out of em!

  11. William is HERE, and I am woefully unprepared. Haven't landed a single piece of denim for him yet. (His breweriana game is pretty on point though...)

Sorry Flash but im afraid we will be going toe to toe on eBay for the time being. You do have an advantage in that im not looking as far down the road as you.

Just checking in... anyone know of any nice brands or stores w/ kids models at the moment? Thanks!

  12. Thanks for the tip I will take a look.

I had checked Gap, currently only offering "faux-selvage" on the kids models.  :(

Wish Samurai still made models like the ones fre-co posted above. Those look great.. and from my experience Samurai fades fast enough you might actually get some wear on a pair before the kid grows out of em.

  13. Joining this club early next year for the first time. I know it will be a while until he/she can fit anything but thinking about laying in a few pairs now for fun while I still have spare time and a few extra bucks...

Who is currently offering kids sizes? Will entertain anything from toddler up through 4-5 years old. Thanks for pointers!

  14. I have a ROY Nihon Menpu Chambray in size Large (looks brand new, I have never worn it, no tags though) and I want to trade it for an XL. (Would consider XXL too if that even exists...)

This shirt was bought second hand from a seller who sold it as lightly worn... it honestly looks as if its never been worn. Not a singe stain, or snag or weak looking stitch. Collar is still in great shape. See pics, ask for more if you are on the fence. I'd be fine trading down in terms of condition if it meant a shirt I could wear....

Need to size down? Get in touch!

Measurements taken with the shirt laid flat and gently smoothed out but not stretched.

    Pit to pit:23.25"

    Waist at slimmest point: 21.25"

Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 18.5"

Shoulder Seam to cuff of shirt: 25.75"

collar seam to tail of shirt:28.25"

  15. I'm selling the IH 666-XHS. The hips and thighs are too tight for me in this cut.

See clicky in my signature. Cheers! mpp

Probably the wise decision. I struggled with 25oz 666 for a year and a half before giving up, for the same reason. It was a pain to lift my leg up into my truck and I never got enough stretch in the top block that it improved.

  16. Dangerous game Mega. I continued to buy 34" pairs figuring "I will have to lose weight after spending all this money"

Got a closet full of jeans that don't fit (including a few Samurais...)  :(

  17. ^Had no problem with the crotch on my KS1001 but my friend who got them always complained about this problem you mentioned... except in his case he never wore them in the right place for a high rise pair of jeans, as a result the extra material formed a sort of "drop crotch" that I think added to the tension.

Got my RTs but waiting to hem and soak until my trade partner gets his bigbros. Its killing me!
