You could probably pick that up at any London market. Try Camden for starters... or, more obviously, Dalston.

Yeah..I live in the Midwest US. Couldn't find anything online.

  2. Hey SuFu, long time no see. I had a quick question regarding insoles for my boots.

I just bought a pair of Red Wing 2979's - Engineer Boots - and am needing some insoles for them. They're a bit roomy, which is what I was aiming for, as I have a wide foot. I went TTS, and with insoles, I think they'll be a perfect fit. Does anybody have any suggestions for good quality insoles that won't break my wallet?

  3. I don't. At least not anymore. Got one pair of jeans, which are falling apart at the seams. I could be a poet, don'tcha know it.

Got into the higher end stuff when I was enlisted and making cash out the ass. That was before kids, and the government was paying my rent. Fast forward 5 years, one kid, a mortgage, and a $30k a year job. These days my clothes are work-issued or come from Walmart.

Props to you, though. I always wanted to make this thread but never had the gumption.

Still have a couple items from the carefree days, but when they're worn out, they likely won't be replaced.

  4. Thanks Max. I need to get another pair before I send these off. I'm down to only one pair of jeans right now, ugh.

As far as the marbling, I couldn't tell you. I don't do anything special, just wash them when they're dirty. I'll generally toss them in the machine and let them wash until the rinse cycle, at which point I take them out and rinse them by hand to avoid crease lines and whatnot. Then hang dry for however long it takes. Sorry I can't of more help.

  5. Hello SuFu. Long time no see. I thought I'd drop by and post a quick evolution spread on my Warehouse 800's. I bought these in mid-January and wore them through all the the late winter & spring. They didn't see much wear during the summer months, but it's cooled down enough to be able to wear them again.

Approximately six months of wear. No washes as of yet, but I'm thinking about giving them a good scrubbing this weekend.

Here's a shot of when they were new.

    And here's today.

Couple of extras. Forgive the shit quality and horrible lighting. Snapped these while at work.

  6. I'm hoping to get some reccommendations on a new pair of jawnz. I'm wearing Warehouse 800's right now, but would like to get a second pair to put into rotation.

I like the cut of the 800's pretty well, but would like something slightly slimmer. I'm aiming for a hem in the neighborhood of 7.75"-8". A slightly slimmer thigh wouldn't hurt, either.

In terms of weight, 14-16 oz would be perfect.

    My natural waist is 34".

I was looking at Skull 5010xx, Dry Bones Red D, and the Oldblue Co./Chainstiches collaboration jeans. Any input on any of these? Anything else I should look into?

    Thanks.

  7. I'm close enough to Three Floyds to find some of their beers in town. Stone also rarely disappoints. I've also been really impressed with Firestone Walker, Pipeworks, Founders, and Half Acre. Still waiting to get to try something from Russian River and The Alchemist.

    Top 5 right now:

    5. 3F Dreadnaught

    4. Firestone Walker Double Jack

    3. Founders Breakfast Stout

    2. Half Acre Daisy Cutter

    1. 3F Cimmerian Sabertooth Berzerker

  8. Yeah, I'm happy with the fit. I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out what kind of fit I wanted, and I wrote down some measurements on a piece of paper that my "ideal" fit would be and set out looking. It just so happened that these matched my numbers exactly on just about everything. I'll try to post some better pics soon.
