  1. The horse meat thing is totally a health issue though. The whole point of having standards is to know what we are eating so if, say, there is an outbreak of mad cow disease, sellers know where the tainted beef came from and can stop selling other meat that might be tainted. And it's not like the horses that are ending up in IKEA meatballs are raised to be eaten. They are in there as filler because they are cheaper than beef (which should tell you something about the relative quality of the meat from these animals), likely someone's horse from a farm or an old racehorse or something.

Horse meat is eaten in a lot of places, but it's not like the ground beef sellers were giving everyone a bonus by throwing in some old horses.

  2. I bought new boxers at uniqlo because I've been too lazy to do laundry

I used to do this all the time (also for socks and undershirts), but now I have too many pairs and it's kind of annoying.

  3. Anyone have a class where the teacher doesent allow laptops or any tech for taking notes? This happened in my anthro class this semester, bitch just gg'd me.

Luddite ass professor, its 2013 like cmon son.

I've heard of studies that say that when you take notes by hand you tend to remember the information better (i.e. it's part of the process of writing notes that helps you remember what's going on) instead of just typing everything you hear and not thinking critically about what you're hearing. Also it's harder to get distracted on a notebook than a wifi-enabled laptop.

  4. I've always preferred the analog placement on the xbox.

That being said, I too am feeling like there's very little drawing me to a new console. Other than Bioshock, whatever the new Metal Gear is, and Cyberpunk 2077 there aren't any games I am really looking forward to in the future. GTA V will probably be tight, but that seems more like something that I'll pick up out of routine instead of legitimate excitement.

  5. Right after talking to my professor about a research project we might venture into, I pulled out my hand for a handshake, but he then made a fist for a fist bump. I ended up shaking his fist and then fumbling to a fist bump.

Maybe that doesn't seem so awkward for you guys but the 5 seconds of silence after that was really awkward.
