  1. what the F guys I thought we hated Valentino but I guess it's okay if it's a member with 4000 posts (sarcasm implied)

    i don't hate valentino actually.

i was never particularly fond of the vintage-type runner with the stud heel stabilizer BUT it definitely qualifies as something that belongs in this thread, just as most of the other posted output does.

that aside *i* had only seen them on chinese douche in school as i said before

and more recently on (go figure) an extremely wealthy gay businessman (banker i think? his partner works manages hermes' local merchandising or smth i can't remember).

with that in light there has to be a distinction between hating something and simply remarking on what you know its context to be. willkhitie (duck avatar) and myself said what we knew the trainers as but never actually said we hated them. there is a big difference, yknow.

+ again they do objectively fit the bill to go into this thread imo. so yeah! i've +repped some shit in here that i would never wear or even really "like" but it's all about qualifying as "weird" so to speak

    regards

  2. Nike's going to take over that HBA/Wang segment of the sportswear market. At least the functionality is there

glad to know i'm not alone in having thought so upon looking. stuff *looks* cool regardless and i'm sure build is up to par—the romantic in me wishes there was more of that neon insanity that i love so much about ACG but then that's not very ACR is it?

guess i still have my sentiments set towards the old sophnet "mt fuji" acg collabs

  3. ACG has never been known for being subtle either.

i really think this is worth noting, along with a bunch of other points. waiting is all we can really do—i just hope that the end result isn't the techninj ideal "ultra-quiet" aesthetic. some kind of balance between that and acg's "noisy" design language would be optimum—again, we'll see.

that aside i remember asking gary warnett on twitter for input regarding several acg models; somewhere in the brief exchange was him noting that ACG had "big things planned" for end 2014/all of 2015? so who knows what else is in the pipeline?

i keep hoping that the salbis will finally see the light of day

  4. ^ Speak of Superstars, how do they size? I'm a 9~9.5 in most things. I feel like I'm just going to rebound purchase on the Nigo 80s ones.

    Ah, the taste of sadness.

tts i'd say. or at least that's how it is with my ooooooold pair. those are a half size too small on me but still wearable without dying—just not the best feeling. >_> probs 9.5 in your case? x_x

  5. Where's the proof erlsn had anything to do with those?

    exactly (re: flyknit sfb chukka)

also i think no ACG logos whatsoever would be running contrary to ACG's heritage. i'm hoping to see a fairly generous peppering of the OG triangle logo as that is part of the whole brand/identity.

despite saying that I think slapping a giant logo on the instep of said shoe then DWR-ing it feels kind of... lazy. it looks okay and all that but it doesn't really seem so faithful to older output and turns into a more "revisionist" take on something that sells like hotcakes right now.
