  1. I got my hemp blend skinny guys in today. First impressions are good. They're a little more itchy than my other skinny guys. They're speckled with little brown and white neps. I love the brown/tan contrast thread and the green selvedge. I have a feeling that these will age very well. Really dig 'em.

You gotta post lots of pics man!

I really, really, wanna cop a pair (as I'm quite the stoner ) but the skinny guy is just so damn skinny....

Still might go for it (green selvedge is too good to pass up) so post some pics man!

  2. Why is it that every APC thread on every forum consists of lots of sizing questions with the occasional fit/fade pic...

Can't sufu just come up with an "official" way to refer to vanity sizing/sizing down.

So many pages of APC threads are one of two things:

People that size down from their true waste size telling people that size down from their tagged size that they "can't possibly be getting that much stretch"

And people who size down from their tagged size telling people that size down from their true waste that they need to size down more.

I know I'm just repeating what everybody already knows, it just seems like this problem could be solved pretty easily.

  3. can someone please help... my friend got gasoline on my new cures today and they're only a month old  . Is there any way to get the gas or the smell out without washing out too much of the indigo?? and will the gas ruin the fade or fuck with the indigo?

it's my first pair of raw denim too.. go figure

you absolutely need to get the gasoline out...that's a wicked fire hazard.

Wash them. If doing so fucks up the indigo (which it probably won't) beyond your liking then count your losses and buy a new pair. Just wash the gas out...seriously.

  4. There is no way you sized down 3, and are they elephant 2's? if so they are 22oz. denim. Seriously though, sizing down 3 means ur wearing pants 2 sizes too big to start.

I don't think I understand...my true waste is 31, the jeans are size 28...that's sizing down 3, and that's how they fit.

And they aren't Elephants, they're the 21oz denim that they used for the Blue in Green colab.

  5. I am extremely pleased to say that I just managed to find/kop pair of the 21oz deep indigo selvedge, same fabric as the Blue in Green colab. The evo pics of the BiG jeans are probably my favorite I've ever seen. Because they were new old stock there was only a size 28 WG, which is sizing down 3 for me, just to be safe I popped into barneys and tried a few pairs out, I won't be able to button the last two buttons but they should stretch out in time.

    so psyched!

  6. I was hoping somebody could tell me if/how much to size down on the ST-100x to get a fit that is as close as possible to the one on selfedge.com.

That's the holy grail of slim fits imo!

  7. Any chance the regular 3sixteen line will be coming out with a heavier model accompanied by the TG leather patch and a consistent price point?

Probably not, if you want a heavier pair of 316 you could look at the 316+, although they don't have the patch and are quite a bit more expensive. As far as "regular" 316 stuff goes, they tend to stick to denim right around 14oz in just their two cuts, it's not out of the question they would change things up, but they already have quite a few combos of color/coating in their lineup.
