  1. Oops! double post. nope i didn't hem mine. So i should be alright for a switch. however, their policy is a little weird. You order a refund package, and not an exchange package. In other words, you pay for the exchange before they refund you back.

  2. Hey guys, figured I'd get more response if I posted here but if it's inappropriate, do let me know. I've got a pair of Ande Whall and Wakefield Hotel collaboration to let go.

It's the one with the vintage cast and in the Mustang fit.

    Size is 31.

    I've measured according to BiG:

    waist: 44

    Thigh: 28.5

    Leg opening: 17

    Length: 74

Do PM me if you're keen :) I'm located in Singapore.

  3. Most PBJ fits are low rise so you might be barking up the wrong tree. The tapered cut is the xx-011/013 cut which is their slim tapered. The others are all straight cut. But then again, it's got the lowest rise and the slimmest thigh measurement.

  4. Yeah this is just a fun experiment. So many people have asked me if i left paper in my pockets while washing!

It'll be in my rotation with a pair of Redcloud and PBJ. can't wait to see what it becomes after a couple of months!

  5. So these are the measurements immediately after the wash:
    Post-wash:
    waist: 33.85 in
    Thigh: 12.6 in
    Knee: 8.86 in
    LO: 7.68 in
    inseam: 31.89 in
    Front rise: 10.63 in
    Back rise: 14.96 in

    after about a day's wear,

    here are the measurements:

    Post-wear:

    Waist: 35.82
    Thigh: 12.59
    Knee: 8.86
    LO: 7.87

I put it through a 1 hour hot soak, then felt it wasn't enough so i threw it into a normal wash cycle. It is a lot softer now but just a scratchy.

    And now for some pictures!

Overall, definitely no where near Japanese made denim but much higher quality than one would expect from a $100 pair of jeans. I'm satisfied since this is just an experiment into hemp denim :) We shall see how this thing fade with time.
  6. I will once it dries up!

Anyways here's the link if any one is keen. http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.5-c.w4002-4093707404.43.RTtIwR&id=35110075919

The fit is apparently modelled after the Iron Heart 555-01. Supposedly low rise with a tapered leg opening.

It's ridiculously hairy. I imagined its due to the Flax material. Interestingly, the word flax in mandarin translates to Hemp. So perhaps it is hemp afterall.

They're 15oz, RHT, with 50% cotton (Warp), 50% Flax/Hemp (Weft). No word as to where the fabric is from.

  7. Hello everyone!

These were real cheap at SG$102.94 which is about US$76 excl. shipping. Took about 4 days to get from China to Singapore. Went with a good proxy.

They are currently hot soaking. Will post post-soak fits later.

  8. Cross post from PBJ thread

Progress shots on my XX-005s. Had worn them for about a month then stopped because the contest jeans came in. I've sized them both in the same size (Size 33) but evidently, the contest pair is much slimmer.

Progress shots on the contest jeans. about 2 weeks of wear. (First pic is more true to actual colour)

They're sized pretty tight hence the crotch fading more than everywhere else. Crotch rip is imminent.

  10. @jpark, do check out BiG's description of both the xx-012 and xx-007. They have the same description. They're done the same way, just different fit. xx-012 is the slim tapered fit while xx-007 is the slim straight fit.

  11. The lighting seemed to be pretty good in the house today. and i thought i'd show how the xx-005 fit is. It's really a good slim straight cut. And i like that it's so comfortable now.

  12. I think the grey weft only peeks through more after you wear them for a bit. Having said that, the faded pics of both the xx-011, and the xx-013 (same fit, different denim) seem to have almost the same faded colours. Although, i think it's really how you wear and wash them that really affects how they fade and the colour as well.

  13. Hi Lukenstein,

your best bet is definitely to check with Denimio. its a competition run by them. It'll be in the xx-012 cut. and it should be starting sometime in october. a separate page is being created by Denimio for this.
