not really specific to jb but i picked up some jb 0102's and the fit is just like i thought, skinny guy ish. the pocket bags are pretty deep but the top block is so slim that i can't put anything in the pockets expect my iPhone and change. what are you guys doing to stretch the pockets? i tried putting some balled up socks in the top of the pockets and that worked to some extent but i couldn't still comfortably get things out of my pockets. the buttons aren't so tight that i can barely button them either.

yea that looks terrible. I remember seeing a pair in my size at barneys for 39 bucks and passing them up. had kind of regretted it until now.

just came back from a levis outlet. asked if they had lvc stuff and they wheeled out a bunch from the back. only one pair of raw ones. but had a pair in every size. might be worth asking around if you have an outlet near you. they were about 100 bucks off. they probably had about 75 pairs total too. various years

got my shirts from the sale last week, but the postage was short paid by 3sixteen. the shirts are great, i'm just not that thrilled about having to pay unexpected shipping costs because the package was improperly weighed.
I'm on the island too. besides noteworthy and maybe the barneys outlet you know where to get some denims here?

Anyone looking for a sweet deal on LVC? Check out your local ROSS stores for various pairs of irregular LVC. I went to 8 different locations in Arizona and picked up 6 pairs all at $22.99 a pair. They are all pre-disstressed versions of 501's;1947, 1954z, 1955 and picked up 2 pairs of 1967 505s. The only defect i could spot was a "sticky" zipper on the 1954z. It was just tuff to pull up and down. @ $22.99 they are a steal! Happy Hunting edit: just picked up a raw pair of 1927 501's too (but in a big size 38x36....looking for a 30 to 32 inch waist)
I've picked up a few of these myself. the ross at az mills has some interesting stuff. some 44's, matchstick selvedge, and a pair of open ceremony x levis. while you are hunting around check out the marshals on 16th and camelback. picked a pair of unbranded ub101 for 15. they also had some dior 19cms for like $160.

i was looking for some help identifying some 501's that i recently picked up. couldn't find out what year they are. i searched for quite awhile and couldn't find anything. they have a very slim fit ( 7inch leg opening), button fly, pressed paper patch, one sided levis tab, stitched arc, ls & co sf button, rivets on the watch pocket, made in turkey. i couldn't find a year that had all those years. basically the pressed paper patch was throwing me off. anybody have an idea?

do you still have these? do you have measurements?

i had the same exact issue. 34's were too big. i ended up with another pair of 32's and after a week or so the 32s have stretched to the perfect size. the 34's were way too big. Im talking about the skinnies though.

yeah that price point you talk about (or they talk about) is really something to keep in mind with respect to the products that they offer . . . staples like the deep indys, broken twill, elephants, are all great denim for the price. some of them you can get for ~$100 or a little less if you catch the right sale.
yea, n and f is a good value. wasn't trying to hate on them. was just sayin.

putting crystals on jeans or making them glow in the darks are both gimmicks. i wasn't giving my opinion on their jeans. I was just stating that there seemed to be a shift. i like their company and product. i own quite a bit of their denim. I'm also glad that they are trying things that are fun or new. it doesn't mean its not a gimmick. $420 for stainless steel weird guys is still way above the price point they made fun of. honestly it doesn't really effect me. i buy what i want and can afford. it was just an observation. A boutique clothing store employee actually brought it up the other day when i was in their shop . I had completely forgotten about N & F talking about $300 jeans.

i just rolled up like 50 paper towels and jammed them at the top of my pockets while I'm at work. looks real funny but we'll see if it stretches a bit.
