  1. @Max Power Hey max. Sorry for the late reply.. I got myself the OW version. Never bought one-wash before, so decided to try one. hahaha.. Sorry can't help you much on the shrinkage. But, measurement is quite different from the chart they have on the website. The live chat they have on the website is very useful! The Okayama rep was kind enough to measure and let me know before buying ;)

  2. ^Props, that's more or less how I like mine to fit!

roomy relaxed fit will not disappoint! glad you like it as much as I do ;)

Be patient, and you'll be pleased.  Once you get above 200 days of wear, they'll really start to come in. Contrast won't be severe unless you stretch it out to over 60 days between washes.

thanks for the tip, setterman!! and I will! personally I'm not really a fan of heavy contrast jeans. I prefer slow subtle fades. Plus I live in a hot and humid city where perspiring is pretty much inevitable. so you can expect the no. of washes to be high :D
  3. you are all too kind! appreciate it!

@roeyroeyy waistband roping insanity! i think i prefer your pair over drz's (i realize his is 001).

hi there!! thanks for the kind words. i personally still prefer drzs over mine. His pair is something I've always admired. Texture is beyond words and plus his 001 uses the old fabric. certainly not the same as mine!

Either you are a master of lighting and photography or those or great looking jeans -- or both.

For example, does that third picture represent the (bright) color and (sharp) contrast accurately or heighten things a bit?

    John

hi john sorry for the late reply! Totally understand where you coming from. I am not a master of lighting or anything you mentioned. Third picture was taken with fuji x100 f2.8. shot outdoor under shade, bias lighting. I had no control over the lighting situation. In this case post processing is necessary (at least for me) as to balance and provide clarity for the picture. However, I kept it to minimum. My goal is to get clearest picture without distorting the meaning. Rest assured no sharpening was done on this one. I'm have plenty of stuffs to work and editing pictures meticulously just to be posted on forums isn't something i will spend my time on. And I suppose, different handphones/laptops will give different image quality and thus affecting perspective. I am sure you have encountered such situation where the image you capture with handphone/camera is different when you see it on computer screen. It is all back to individuals and their ideology of what makes a good picture. or maybe..... it's just the mccoy thingy  ;)

  4. Just received it two days ago from big. To those who are curious about the lot 002 and XH fabric..

    The Real McCoy's Lot.002

Just like we all know, mccoy is definitely one of few specialist in making repo items. Be it military repo, workwear, sportswear, or any other vintage inspired items. Based on a trustworthy source, the rmc lot 002 use the 1950s straight cut in a slight slimmer version. The weight itself is 14 3/4oz, which is I think it's best for our climate.

When I first opened the package, the smell was the first thing that caught my attention. Believe it or not, the McCoy Original XH denim smells and feels different than any other denim. On top of that, the construction of the denim is totally something you will love it. They really pay attention to details. Lots of curve, cut threads, basically imperfections. They want us to feel like how it was to be in the past. You might find these exaggerating, but I'm telling you the truth! Lets cut the talking and it's time for some pictures!!

5 dirty buttons that seem to have already oxidized with the engraved mccoy label. It's a plus point for me tho..

hair on hide patch. Awesome, really. the best part is they even put an effort to make the shadow as for the logo to not look so plain.
