if it helps, measurements of my 3009s 32 (one hot soak, 1 hot wash, air dried, couple weeks of off & on wear)

waist: 15.75

thigh: 12.25

front rise: 10.375

rear rise: 14.5

knee (at 13"): 8.75

hem (30" inseam): 7.75

I think my next stab at the perfect jean will be try the the flathead 3009.

 

On paper the measurements looks great. But then they always do... 

 

the 3009s are awesome i recommend them (roomy thighs/smallish opening)

 

as far as my perfect pair right now, its my eternal 883. fit is perfect for me, love the denim, details. i pick up other jeans but these seem to get the most wear.

 

i do have momo 0701s en-route so maybe there will be a new perfect pair in the making

got my first pair of flat heads. i had handled them previously at self edge but could not imagine them shrinking down enough to be a fit i'd be happy with (32" waist x 30" inseam, was worried about the size of the leg opening at that inseam). i picked up the once soaked pair of 3009s member Aviv put up for sale (couldnt pass on the price). received them, put them thru a hot wash/air dry, loved the fit so i decided to get them hemmed. more than happy with the final results. 

 

Hey everyone's updates are looking good! Sorry for my absence as of late, been getting ready to move from Minneapolis to LA with my girlfriend. Currently we are 2 days into our trip and we're staying tonight and tomorrow in Flagstaff, AZ (where I grew up). As soon as we get to LA I plan on giving my jeans a wash and I'll flood you guys with photos from the road trip.

i grew up there as well (81-94)

they stretch...my 883s tagged sz 31 always stretch back out to a 32" waist after wash

those should look great after a hot wash to get the shrink out

Thanks, I took your advice into consideration I just wanted to see if I could get another opinion or see if anyone had experience with both cuts 

 

i was able to try on both recently, ended up going with the petit standard. looks like you would benefit from the smaller top block

Agreed, it was nice to actually try on multiple pairs and pick the one i wanted this weekend at big instead of shopping from a pictures and measurement tables.
