  1. I am looking to buy a new pair of jeans that is both lighter and more slim than my IH 634S. For reference I own a pair of APC NS and I find them to be far to slim for my build. I have larger thighs due to Skiing/Snowboarding/Biking and would like something with a little room.

So far I have considered the PBJ 007, Samurai S5000VX and the Samurai S0500XX. I would like a slim straight fit, nothing tapered as I prefer a larger leg opening. I would like something with good fading characteristics which is why I am leaning towards the PBJ right now. If anyone can help me out who may own 634's and any of the jeans I have mentioned, or knows of another brand that may suit me it is very much appreciated.

i've got 0500's that you can see in old posts of mine. i have larger thighs as well, and feel these are a good choice for me.

  2. i don't know how long geocaching has been round, but my friend has been into it for a while. the phone app. leads you to within feet of the spot. sometimes the container is obvious and sometimes you have to walk for a good distance. More people seem to be into it than one would think. There are about 25 caches along the rural highway that runs about a 30 mile stretch.

  3. last day of holiday break yesterday. did some thrifting before my friend/bandmate came from his town to ride to kansas city - about an hour from my town - to a gig we had. he's into geocaching so we found one along the drive. it was around 30 degrees colder than the day before so we were freezing on the gravel road we stopped on.

  4. did the midwest redneck outing by shooting at stuff with guns. i'm definitely better at stationary targets.

i've only been a couple of times, but my brother-in-law and his uncles talked me into it.

  5. Greetings all, and happy new year-

I'm fred from kansas. i'm in my..ahem...later 30's, and a music teacher. i play trumpet in some jazz groups in kansas city, but i am basically a gun for hire. i've played in salsa, mariachi, polka and swing bands, as well as orchestra/chamber groups.

arcarsenal, you will have to tell me what chicago groups you are into. i really dig tortoise and sea and cake - also ken vandermark....

i've got a terrific wife, and daughter who's 6. they'll make it into a few posts i'm sure.

i'm gonna be wearing these blacks as my daily school wear - so i'll be "that teacher" that we all had who had one outfit they wore every damn day. i've got two samurai models that will be my mr. rogers "home pants". looking forward to being in my first contest.
