  1. We need to get a confirmation for those who are confused on the sizing chart. We got people saying one thing and another saying one thing. I've emailed Inoue and ask if the chart was presoak or post soak, inoue said " A number after washing" so my guess the chart is listed as post soak.

  2. Just a question since there isn't a proper thread for TCB, but the site that was posted up by the OP was it to get a count on who would join this contest? I'm actually interested in the 60's cut and I noticed its an option. Also is it an order form or do they have it in stock?

  3. I want a fit similar to my denim 66xx seems like this ones the closest, plus needed another pair of lightweights. You got any other recommendations that's close to a 66xx if you do pm me that info.

  4. I've been waiting for the release of the 660 also, been checking every day since the 1st of April, been waiting for something similar to the fit of my Denime.

  5. How well does the 1000xx denim stretch? I'm thinking about grabbing the 660 from Gordon when it comes out which hopefully be by the end of this month or beginning of next month, been loving the fit on my denime 66xx back from the shins era, I wanted a pretty similar fit. Judging by the measurements and from the gurus on this thread lead me to 660.

Edit: The measurements on my Denime 66xx this was after about 1 hot soak and 2 washes. Was thinking about grabbing a 32 and machine washing it and let is dry in the sun. But a size 31 is pretty much on point. Btw I'm looking mainly at the one washed chart.

Measured it Blue in Green style:

    Tag Size: 34

    Waist: 32

    Front Rise: 10

    Back Rise: 14.25

    Thigh: 11.75

    Knee: 8

    Leg Opening: 7.75

  6. Because how long you've been wearing your jeans is directly related to how they fade and change over time.  Because if there's a hole in the crotch and you've been wearing them for four months rather than twelve it gives you a dramatically different picture about the quality of the denim.  Because it gives people interested in buying the same jeans a better idea of how they can expect the jeans to fade.  And so on.

Occasionally people with this attitude show up here - "It's just a stupid pair of jeans, who cares" - and while I understand why people who don't particularly care about jeans would think this way, won't people who spend hundreds of bucks on their pants be interested in nitty-gritty details?  The whole reason why people are buying stuff like Samurai in the first place is because they think all these little parts of the hobby are fun.  If you don't care about that sort of thing, then fine, but why bother with expensive hobbyist-oriented brands like Samurai in the first place?  At the very least you shouldn't act surprised when people ask if you did a hot soak or cold soak, or comment on the patina of copper rivets or whatever.

Everything you said on the first parts was all I needed.

But I don't get the second part, "Occasionally people with this attitude shows up here"? That I don't get, Is this a forum where you can express your feelings or thoughts. If you don't like what I post, just say so, I'll be happy to remove it. How can I be one of those people if I spend hundreds to even thousands on pants?

And why spend time on a forum which specifically caters to people who DO care about these things?

I spend time on this forum to get knowledge from other members here. I never said I never cared about the details of the jeans, the rivets, back pockets, and the type of denim used.

  7. I don't want to sound like a penis or anything but why would anyone know how long you wore your denim? It's just a pair of jeans you wear it and you beat it. I think asking how long you wear something is just irrelevant.
