I think it all comes down to personal preference with oz weight. I myself would never go below 17 and tough to say if I'd go higher than 20.

Is it advised to go a little tighter or a little looser on the 710s when the special heavy weight comes out this Spring? I checked the general measurements and could fit both in a 34 and 35 waist. Thanks.

Hey you Stockholm boys, I'm heading to Sweden for Midsommar, care for a small HWDC2 meetup?

For sure, thanks! I'm really considering buying the flannel with the red lining. Love the selvedge details.

^^^ That's a really nice shirt! How's the sizing? Slim or natural?

The term "worn hard" gets thrown around here very commonly and is so ambiguous. I guess it's all relative and left to interpretation. I feel that I beat the crap out of mine (death marches/camping/kayaking/hardcore shows), but still looks like brand new denim.....It's amazing to see Fanya, Netley, and Max's evo where I am not even remotely close to their level.
I'm trying not to get jealous and have to accept it's all about the journey and not the destination. Great job guys!

Winter and Epic Eats Challenge
Flathead 2015

Having some fun in the snow today. It's supposed to be high of -10 degrees here, not including windshield on Monday. Looking forward to that.
Don Carnitas Restaurant in Chicago. Literally, the best Mexican food I've eaten in my entire life. I walked in and their was a Mariachi band playing, I knew this place was going to be legit. Stewed Goat, Carnitas, Cactus Salad, Chicharones. Affordable and great eats!

Would the 710 in W35 be equivalent to 0500 in W34 ? Thanks.

I just got back from Spain visiting Madrid, Sevilla, and Granada for little over a week during my Thanksgiving break. I enjoyed myself for the most part, it's an interesting country. I had high expectations although I felt the country was a bit hyped and over-romanticized. Highlights from my trip was some guy trying to pickpocket me and I ended up raging on him/giving him a forearm shimmy and my dad stealing bottles of wine from the hotel lobby when the bar closed and drinking them together.
After I got back, I did my first official machine wash. Looking at the other contestant's denim, I have no idea how you guys get such intense fading. I feel like I beat the crap out of mine and after my wash my combs just look sad. I am now accepting it like any other shortcomings in life and moving on.

I think max or b_f said a while back ago that leg twisting is apparently desirable. Why is that? To me personally, I find it a bit annoying

My jeans have a date with the tailor today after work. My Flatheads crotch is going to blowout and will do a reinforcement/repair before it gets any worse. I'm just wondering and fun to see if any of you guys have had any repairs (major/minor) done yet?

Just bought the 34BSP from the decade collection. Hope to receive it this week, but I live in Sweden. Maybe if I'm lucky!
Looking forward to get these in my hands and really looking forward to break them in!
Let me know how those go, I was really interested in those, but can't cheat on my flathead jeans for HWDC2

Could you get larger sizes in flathead shirts/button downs? Like 46? Thanks.

I also do a lot of lifting and martial arts (6ft/215lb.) and from personal experience the rise is too low for me. I have the RK ISC (34w/TTS) and they stretched a lot, so now when I tie my shoe laces or pick something up, there is definetly ass crack/underwear showing if I'm not wearing a belt. I love RGT and their brand, just wish the rise was higher.

Been a while since I last posted pictures. Since I had to wash them yesterday, (Potty training can be a bumpy road sometimes. Let's just leave it at that.) now seemed like a good time to rectify the issue.
So, here are my SDA Xs-33 with right around five months of wear. Unsurprisingly for those who know me, they look very much like they did when new...
To answer one of the frequent questions about this denim- yes, the neps eventually wear away. When they do, the denim looks reasonably smooth, but starts to show signs of falling fades. I anticipate beautiful things with this pair; maybe even before the contest ends.
Thanks for the update! These were the most interesting pair of jeans I wanted to see evo from this contest. From what I'm seeing, it looks like this pair and other SDA jeans are stubborn on fading....

Challenge 3
HC-SF-76
Flathead 2015
My friend told me about this beer drinking game, while camping at a bday party. The game is called the "Wisest Wizard" and each time you finish a beer you tape the end to a new beer. Once you finish 10 beers (perfect for the challenge), you become the "Wisest Wizard" with a "staff." When you are the wizard, it pretty much makes you the president and can tell anyone what to do playing the game. If the competition catches up to you and are other wizards with a staff, you duel your staff like a sword. When the staff breaks and whoever has the longest staff is the Wisest Wizard. Good times.
Finished!

Thanks guys, I'm waiting a little while longer to wash. I'd like to get high contrast fades for these guys because I've really never been able to get good ones, we'll see!
