Do the back pockets of the 714 hang lower than the 727 or am I just seeing things?
Yes they do. Coin pocket position is slightly different too.

A few comparison shots: 714 new vs. about 1.5 years of wear:

I hadn't heard of Civilianaire but went to their website to see what it was about. Kinda silly that all their selvage denim is valued at $220 but their price is below $60. Seems they're using that as a selling point as anyone with a brain will know that a brand whose products are actually worth that much would never discount them 75%+, unless I got lucky and just happened to stumble upon the website on a day when they're having some insane sale.
Civillianaire was started by the people who started Lucky jeans. Don't take anything about them seriously.

Is the "Kickstarter-Raw-Denim-Wave" over or do I just don't notice them anymore?
The only one I am aware of is BDD from Benzak
I think the whole mainstream raw/heritage menswear thing is pretty much over. The boots/raws/flannel look went out of fashion a while ago, and the kickstarter brands are now chasing after something else. It's fine with me, there will always be people who love to sell jeans and wear jeans, and they won't be going anywhere.

In honor of 3/16 (us crazy Americans put the month first), I took some pics of my 3sixteen 32bsps and compared them with new:

Has anyone noticed some significant sizing difference between the 3Sixteen tees? I recently picked up a grey pocket tee in a Medium and its fits a little long. I then grabbed a white plain tee in Medium and it's a nice snug fit. It's a very noticeable difference between the two. Not a complaint, just curious if this has happened to anyone else?
The tees are very solid so far!
Have they both been washed? My 3sixteen tees shrank a hell of a lot with a wash and dry.

So your size 32s stretched back out to 35? Damn, that's some major stretching. Granted, you didn't do a hot wash and dry but still.
Stevenson's have a big waist, also I have found that all of my unsanforized pairs will stretch out to raw measurements if needed. I usually just make sure that they fit raw and then I know I'll be good to go after washing/soaking. I only did a short soak b/c of the thighs..not really worried about the waist

Mind posting some measurements?
Sorry it took me a couple days. Tagged size 32, after a 45 min warm soak and 3 days to stretch back out:
Waist: 35"
FR: 10.75"
BR: 15.5"
Thigh: 12"
Knee (13" down from crotch): 8.5"
Leg opening: 7"
Inseam: 34"

Sure, I can measure them when I get home tonight

Here are a few pre-soak pics of my newly-acquired Stevenson 714s. I sized down one from usual because these measure pretty big- the waist on these size 32 is 35" according to the SE website. I'm not looking for much shrinkage so I gave them a rather short lukewarm soak. I'll wear em for a week or so and see how the fit works out, and then possibly do another soak/cold machine wash and hem. I've heard a lot about how this denim is really receptive to frequent washing, so I think I'm gonna do like a once a month soak/wash plan.
The denim is pretty hairy, super regular, and refreshingly lightweight. I think the curved pockets and leather-backed buttons are super cool. I'm also not at all crafty or knowledgeable about sewing, but the fully single-needle stitched design is really impressive. There is such a small amount of fabric "overlap" between pieces of the jean that have been sewed together, it's pretty nuts when you compare them to a more conventional pair.
I'll post an update in a week or so after a bit of break-in.

Any community like that has a hivemind. This one is guilty of its own in ways as well.
It's true, but reddit is a hivemind by design- all of reddit, not just rawdenim. I think reddit mods, including rawdenim mods, try to cut down on the circle jerking but it's just so fundamental to the site functionality that there isn't anything to be done. I visit r/rawdenim often cause I enjoy pics of jeans, but I just gloss over most of the rest.

Welcome to r/rawdenim, where your Unbrandeds will look like everyone else's after a couple weeks of wear!
Man I don't know what it is but that place gets to me. I've chatted with others about it in person before and they all seem to agree. Just not a place that's really conducive to the development of a niche kinda thing we're all into. Basically just a circlejerk where guys who eat up everything GQ tells them to go to show off their #rawfies. Gah...
But like someone else stated, at least we're not getting all the shitty "fit checks" and sizing questions here.

Okay I'll rephrase it for just for you, fire emojis, bullseye, 100 and a few others I have tried to emit from my memory. No problem with others, just the ones people spam
so true. i'm beginning to realize that there's about 20 IG users who just circlejerk emojis onto each others' daily "buy it for life" pics, and it's always those damn fires and bullseyes

Met Andrew @SENY yesterday while looking for something in the shadow selvedge. Just a genuinely awesome dude and incredibly welcoming.
Unfortunately the back rise of the120x I brought home cannot contain my more-than-ample badonkadonk, so if anyone wants a once worn (from SE to home) slightly discounted pair of 34s, PM me.
Will definitely be keeping tabs on any pending shadow releases in the fuller cuts. Understand you can't do every denim in every cut.
I got a pair of the 32bsp a few months ago and the cut is basically perfect. If you get a chance, try those on

I machine washed it in cold. Yea i agree it could fit better if shrunken some more. I plan to wash it in warm water next time around.
Don't "sweat" it though, your fit is really good! I've seen a lot of SG sweat fits that are really too small/too short

it sure can!
How long will the pop-up be running? I will be out of town this weekend but would love to check it out next week.

i took a chance with one of their denim shirts for $40. if i get it, i'll post plenty of pics

Yup, this jean is perfect for summer wear. Sugar Cane is so good at getting fits right and this new jean is a good example of that.
Will this jean be in stock at SELA?

Just a couple quick fit shots of my new FH work flannel. This is my first FH shirt, and it certainly will not be my last!

It's not even something i can start going into unless i knew i was going full-on and getting rid of a lot of it. I may move this spring and that would be dealing with it, at that point i'll figure out a way to get it all out there.
sell a grab bag in the SE webstore? I'd totally pay $10-20 for a random box of goodies. since this is free stuff it would be kinda shady to actually try to turn a profit, but charge enough to cover your employees' time and shipping.

i literally just yelped out loud with joy sitting alone in the house after seeing that first post-wash pic. that has to be one of the best fade patterns i have ever seen.

The stitching and denim sort of looks like APC to me. I'm not thinking of buying or anything, mostly just curious
