don't know if this is the right thread for this. these are recently purchased preowned alden ravellos wingtip boots. really beautiful but the thing is that the size is a good half size bigger than what I normally take, or my Indys 405. I can somehow make the sizing work with an insole, but don't want them to look too big and unproportional. what to you guys think? thanks in advance.

They look sleeker than the Barrie or Trubalance last. The Hampton/Plaza will fit larger than your Indys, which might explain the half size difference. Gorgeous boots though, what size are they?

I am currently wearing Momotaros and really want to make Samurai my next pair. Regarding fit, the question is: 0201 is to Momotaro as ??? is to Samurai. Anyone?

Trying not to shit up the Samurai thread with this... I've been looking for a Samurai fit similar to the Momotaro 0201 but with a slightly more narrow leg opening but not quite as slim as the Momo 0701s. Would the S710XX fit the bill?

Has anyone compared the Alden Roy boot with the suede version from J Crew? Looks similar to the Winn Perry Little Tanks but with what appears to be snuff suede.
