  1. kZvJAm8.jpgFor sale, a pair or Tricker's Stow (UK size 7.5 fitting 5) in new condition, never more than tried on. Realized these are just too tight for me. I paid more than $550 after shipping and customs, just trying to recoup most of the loss. Asking $400 plus actual shipping cost which I would estimate in the continental US to be around $20 as these are quite heavy. These boots will ship in original box with Tricker's dust bags and polishing cloth. I have more pictures so if you need to see more just PM me.
  2. Beautiful evo. have not worn mine as much as I would like, how was the shrinkage post wash?

Thanks mate. i'd say around an inch in the waist, two from the inseam and half an inch or so from the remaining measurements. Stretches back out pretty close to unsanforized size after a day or two though (with the obvious exception of the inseam length).

  3. Hi alls, first post here.

Below is my first day with WG deep indigo selvedge. How you guys think? please share.

They look great, keep in mind if they aren't really tight to begin with they won't stretch that much. These will probably stay looking pretty similar (at least with regards to the fit) to how they look now even after they're broken in, I would guess. Not everyone wants their jeans to fit the same way.

  4. x-post from the small questions thread, but I thought I might get a more rapid answer here.

Just want to know, if I fit comfortably in a 10 b/d in Alden's Plaza last do you think a 10.5 c/e in the Aberdeen last would be do-able or is it going to be too large? I know it's slightly more narrow than the Plaza to begin with which is why I ask this question. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  5. 6 month ele2s (not mine), perfect fit except for the messy stacks

I think that's pretty far from a perfect fit personally. Dudes that size should probably consider the SlimGuys or some other brand that sells jeans with bigger thighs. But that's just like, my opinion man.

  6. those elephants don't look "vintage" whatsoever. isn't the whole point of raw denim to get a vintage looking end-product? it just seems like the owner rubbed his hands on his thighs non-stop for 8 or 9 months. if the creases disappeared after a wash, i could swear they were pre-washed mall brand.

fades are subjective and if you dig the unrealistic contrast, that's great... don't say I'm wrong. i'd prefer not to start an argument over something so petty.

I'm not saying you're wrong, and fading is a very subjective thing. This we can agree on. I think that some of the creases along the thigh of those jeans are ridiculously sharp and were probably enhanced by the wearer's rubbing on them, etc. That said, I think that otherwise those are a very pretty pair of jeans.

dhalgren, that's a nice fit on your friend. I gotta say though, I don't much care for the denim they use for some of their girls jeans.

  7. those are absolutely beautiful.. cant wait to see more... damn

damn, happinessknox... Your ONIs are really making me look forward to how mine turn out over time. I have a bit more blue tint to my pair though.

Thanks guys, they've got a long way to go but I'm really pleased with the progress thus far. After giving them a wash they're nice and rough again, should see some more rapid fading soon I imagine.

  8. as promised, here are some crappy photos of my oni's. about 10 months in, they had an initial hot soak, another soak somewhere around 6-7 months I think and just got a hand wash after enduring the beach, several music festivals as well as miserably hot summer in Texas. pardon the usage of flash in some of these, didn't pick an ideal time to take pictures.grO1p.jpg

can't wait to see how these turn out in a few more months.

  9. Onis looking pretty good rosarkar, mine are at about 10 months now. Going to wear them to Fun Fun Fun Fest this weekend and possibly give them a rinse/wash if they get muddy. They're looking really cool, I'll get on posting pictures soon after. Keep rockin' em man and if you grab the Flatheads just let em sit until you've really done damage to these.

  10. Agreed, I'd call them up and demand they pay return shipping and ship you what you ordered right away. You certainly shouldn't have to try to sell them or anything like that just because they fucked up.

  11. the Oni collab, in my experience, didn't really shrink all that much. I wear a 29 in deep indigos with a bit of room in the waist. I e-mailed Brandon and asked about sizing on the Onis and he steered me towards the 30. After a hot soak and another hot soak of the waistband a few days l later to make sure it had shrunk as far as it was going to I lost maybe an inch. Really not as drastic as expected. I could have gotten the 29s and been just fine but I prefer the waist being slightly large (I wear a belt all the time so it doesn't make much difference) and having a little bit more room in the rest of the pants. Soaked them for the first time since the initial soak in January just a week or two ago, pretty minimal indigo loss but it softened them up nicely, got rid of the dirt and sweat from a very hot Texas summer, etc. They're starting to look really nice, should be amazing in another six months or so. I'll try to get some more pictures up sometime soon.
