the 50mm 1.4 would become a 80 mm lens due to the crop factor, so you would have to take that into consideration as well, the 35mm 2.0 would be my recommendation as it is 56mm on the 40D.

It was obvious during that draft that oden was prone to injury as he was pretty much injured his entire college career, and Portland is known for making ill advised draft picks anyways, sam bowie over michael jordan in 84' being one example.

While the guide mode may be useful early on, I would strongly suggest learning how to use the manual modes on the dslr you decide on purchasing (aperture priority, shutter priority and manual mode). By using these modes, you will not only have complete control over your camera but it will be the best way for you to learn the art.
