  1. Hi all,

I'd like some opinions on the Triple works for Ladies.. I've seen them brand new and the denim looks great! Also the fit seems to be really nice. But I'd like to know how they wear. If anyone has pictures, I'd love to see them..

    grtz,

  3. not bad for pre distressed

    That's right!

I'm looking forward to the one washed versions though. I'll be getting some men & women's Omnigod (ow & washed) somewhere in August...

I'll make sure to post up some pics of those too...

  4. Beejautifull!

William... I don't know quite how to explain it but basically you make me feel proud to be in the denim business!

I think you will have to make me a 31' waist jeans, because I'm SO jealous of all the lucky guys being able to wear Tender!!

  5. @bosslady - that 001 fit on you make me smile and glad you're happy with it....last but not least, the post on your blog is great..

Thanks Krakatu! We try our best to be just a bit different than the other blogs out there... I'm glad that you appreciate it!

  6. for the guys with the 011's do the raws shrink pretty close to tag size?

I am wearing a XX-011 and it did shrink quite a bit (maybe because that was exactly what I was trying to do), BUT the denim is very slubby so it stretches back very fast! I have to wear a belt to keep the waist from stretching out too much.

    Check out some pics here.

  7. High rise jeans sewn from high quality Japanese denim.

After months of research and trying many of the major Japanese brands advertised on superdenim, I realize that the kind of jean I wore as a young man in the 50s and 60s does not exist in the market today. Speaking from experience I can assure you that in the 50s and 60s men did not wear jeans set below the hips at the far extremity of the pelvis. Jeans were worn at or above the natural waist.

I am not very sure what the “repro†jeans are reproducing. I suspect they are trying to copy the look of the classic jeans but made for Asian men in the mid five foot range.

Market opportunity: 1. a real jean made the way they used to be made but made from great Japanese denim; in other words, a jean for taller men and men who used to wear denim in the 1950s and 1960s and consequently, whose age group is 50s and 60s.

If you fit either of the two groups know that I am working with Japanese makers to issue the first ever,†real “ repro jean.

Have you tried Sugar Cane Jeans?

Most of the fits have more of a high rise and they've spent 20 years in research to reproduce the original 'dungaree'.

Check it out: www.sugarcanejeans.co.uk for info and available at www.okiya.eu.

  8. Hi to you all Denim admirers,

My name is Nora and I'm opening this thread dedicated to Spellbound. As the European Agent for this Japanese denim label, I'm looking for honest opinions and straight forward reactions. I believe I came to the right place to get those!

I'm also here to answer any questions you might have on the label, sizing, fits, retailers, or anything else. And I'd be happy to see old Spellbound's, worn and torn. I know they are out there so show us what you've got!

Check out the website: www.spellboundjeans.com and a glimpse of the Autumn/Winter 2010 collection expected to hit the stores at the beginning of August.
