Thanks mate. Nothing special, I just didn't pet them that much. I keep my hands in the pockets all the time so they are both pretty torn, but I'm not sure why the left one exploded like that.

I recently bought a pair of 21oz S5000VX and gave them a 2 hour hot soak which took out some shrinkage. I'm not fully aware how this denim behaves, so here's a question for someone who knows better:

Should I still give them an initial wash or was the soaking enough?

Thanks. I think I'll play safe and get 1 up. At least they won't shrink too much which would be a nightmare.

S5000VX 21oz from Lot 13, TTS or size 1 up? Exhausted of looking for a convincing answer. Asked Gordon who said TTS would be fine and that they run the same as 710s and 0500s (which both fit fine TTS) unwashed but might shrink more. I'm confused.

These have had the initial wash with water only and been worn about 15 times, so no actual fading except for minimal marks of a wallet. I'm asking $200 + shipping from Finland ($40 to US, assumably less to Europe) but all offers are welcome.

Went exploring some nearby abandoned buildings.

Had a miserable first skate session in my 710s. The crotch just exploded with no apparent reason. Just too much stress i guess. I got them repaired and back in rotaton but they won't get too much wear cause I'm going to concentrate on my newly arrived 0500s. Anyway these are at about 8 months now, three hot soaks and two washes.

What surprised me about the 0500s is that they don't feel nearly as slubby as my 710s. Still amazing material in both.
