That’s tough. At this point, I think I’m going to contact them and ask them to measure mine and any that have not shipped out yet.
If they don’t conform to the size chart, they can keep the jeans. I don’t want the hassle of returning or unloading them if they’re the wrong size.
Edit: the email I just sent

If the waist is pretty high, then the smaller waist measurement might not be as much of an issue, right?
(asking for a friend who’s nervous about his one wash)

Pretty. Requires selling an organ, but pretty.
edit- I guess that this is the significantly less expensive pair that they sell.

I’m surprised that SE got on board with selling them. It’s very cool, but seems a bit risky.

Fit is spot on per the sizing chart: my 31 has a 33 waist.

My Circle A denimbro collab jeans are paper thin in the places that they do still exist, so it’s time for another pair of something lighter and wide legged.
Cory (bandit) and Edwin steered me toward CeeBlues, a brand made by vintage seller and pro skater Gilbert Crockett.
I ordered the last pair of Cone chinos in my size and hope to have them soon.
Gilbert has some snowy denim from Japan coming toward the end of Summer.

User name notwithstanding, as long as I get one left and one right, I’m good.

For those who have never bought from them, Okayama Denim is fast.
I placed my order on Thursday at about 11pm and it was at my door in Akron, Ohio today, Monday, at noon.

The Okayama Denim sale got me to finally grab a couple of Loop and Weft shirts. I remember being impressed by them at Blue in Green a number of years ago.
I picked up the Tompkins knit crew neck sweat in mustard and the twill face crew neck tee in dark cherry.
For a company so meticulous in their craft, I’m surprised not to see much about them on sufu.2 -

Are we going to have categories for natural fades and those using PEDs?

I have a hunch that the most popular thread of late Summer will be the contest-jeans-trade-for-the-right-size-thread. We’re all hoping not to be a part of it, but we’re all worried that we’ll need it.

I think they sold for 375 at the time, and Hodis was still with RS back then.

He’s been out of RS since 2012ish.
My understanding - and I’m open to correction here - is that he sold it (or his share of it) and that Runabout hasn’t produced any denim goods due to a non compete.

I wonder what denim they’re using now and if they’re made as nicely as when Hodis was running things.
Edit - I see that the Instagram posts are tagged with ConeDenim. I’m surprised that they don’t put that on their site if it’s true.
My perfect jeans would be the general Blacksmith design, but with a higher rise, suspender buttons omitted, and one of Roy’s custom denims. I love the pocket style, cinch design, iron buttons, silk screened tag, heavy pocket bags, and so many other little touches that Hodis put into these.

Ryo just got back to me.
The 33 one wash measures 41cm across or 32.28”
He offered to cancel my order and issue a refund if that size wouldn’t work for me. I took him up on it.
