  1. hi.

a couple of mounth ago I posted my first jeans project.

worn three weeks, the denim stretched out badly and I decided to wear them only for work in the garden, etc...

in the meantime I found some beautiful Riri and Talon zipper in a fabric-store of old lady:

ordered some new denim (in this case a solid cone 13,5 red line, nothing special) to put it around that cottonlined Talon zipper:

made a cut update and worn them for about two mounth.

    fit and details later on...

  2. so nice that denim on those slackers!

the reason why ande changes the pocket lining:

the fabrics nice but not that rugged.

    never mind!

i love my ande whall pants!

(grifters are four month worn one soak after three and a half.)

  3. modifications:

    15mm shorter at the top

    60mm at the thighs

    40mm shorter frontrise

    backpoket height 10mm shorter, riveted

    inseam overlocked

    thinner loops

    new front pockets "grubentuch"-lined

  4. a couple of month ago ordered some shearer pants.

upset about high rise and the loose thighs. anyway i put them on and after three days of wearing them one rivet on the right cut the fabric cause it wasnt well placed.

so, i throw that shit in the closet.

last week found them, cut most of the treads and tear it apart.

at this point the backpockets were already riveted.

  5. not at this point, maybe later...

first i will wear them to check the construction.

yesterday i finished a pair of 12oz red selvage for my 8 years old son. build in a zipper in and reinforced the knees.

im sure they will meet the washing maschine shortly but thats the best test for construction....

pattern worked out by myself measuring out some jeans and making a few samples.

  6. by the way, someone out there who knows a source for some heavier selvage denim (14,5oz) here in europe?

it is a big problem to get such fabrics if you want only a few yards.

  7. thanx all you guys for affirmative reply!

the sewing maching was a present from me for my girlfriend last x-mas. since then i made a dress for my daugther, some denim bags... now the jeans project.

think it was 24 hours of working to bring it all together.

denim were ordered at shuttleloomdenim it is greenline organic 13oz. funny thing: the shipping to germany is more expensive than the four yards of fabric i needed.

  8. after a closer look at all my jeans a few weeks ago, i decided to create my own pair of denim pants.

not easy to collect all the things you need to put together a wearable one. all the stuff you can buy at the shops are kind of shit, so i made rivets an buttons on my own using simple things like copper nails and horn.

but first of all i took my girl-friends sewing machine, buy some cheap denim fabric and make a few samples.

not easy to find the right cut... yesterday it was done.
