Has anyone purchased the red fades yet? Saw them at Barney's but I don't want to commit until someone posts fades (for which I do realize it is too early for anyone to have).

Third that. I their jean shots are consistanly unflattering.

To thewicket post #41, if the jeans can stand up by themselves, why wear a belt?

Inspiring pics! I am deeply envious.

I know this is a blue denim board, but I saw the N&F WG camel hair jeans yesterday, for a slightly dressier, non-blue, very soft change of pace I do like them.

And to think I didn't get the nobrands because some guys posted that they did not like the denim and it was not breaking well.

Awesome! Great to finally see how these turned out.

Daaaaaaaamn!!!!
6 pairs for 200!!! I got mine from barney's for 130 which was half off and I thought I did good.
I was too lazy to go to the warehouse sale.
Good stuff.
Unless you are size 29 the Warehouse sale would not have been a huge deal for you. If you are it would have been $39.

Thanks, maybe I'll try to haggle them back down to that if they still have them...
The sale is over, but when I went back Monday to pick up the red wefts for someone the Kevlars were gone.

Did you catch the price on the kevlars?
No, but they were probably around $25. (sale price less 70%)

Barney's warehouse sale update: 33 chambrays gone. saw 30 chambrays, 30 unbleached undyed, 31 kevlars, 28 red wefts, 29 organics. OT - There was also a pair of 29 triple works.

Just came from Barney's Warehouse sale. I know that ecru jeans are not popular here, but got the undyeds for $19.75.
They also had chambray in 33, ecru in 29, and red wefts in 30.

Just picked up a pair of the citrus weft at Barney's Co-Op in Costa Mesa today. I was leery of them after reading your post, but the red stripes were more subtle in the indigo than I was expecting from that. Plus the price wasn't bad ($175 retail and all N&F denim is 20% off at Barney's right now), and since these are limited to 75 pairs total, I figured that I'd go for it.
I also saw the camo weft model there as well, which was possibly even more impressive than the citrus weft. It was more expensive, though ($250 retail), so I went with the citrus today.
Glad you like them. I was definitely into the camos, but I can't rock the skinny guy.

Are the N&F camo wefts a Japan exclusive?
Never mind, called N&F. They are at Barney's Japan and Barney's NY. Must have come in just after my last visit.

You still have plenty to stack even with the fold up, so I think cuffed. I'd actually think about hemming a bit and skipping the cuff.

Daynym - This cements the 101z Taxi Driver as my favorite cut, perfect!

Saw the citrus weft in Barney's this weekend. Not a fan. Even without fading you can see the red stripes going across. Not being a matchstick horizontally striped legs are not appealing. I'm not certain I would really want to see stripes showing through in any direction so clearly, but I think I'd like vertical stripes better.

Good news and bad.
Went to Barney's to see the NF donegals, liked the Left Field ones better. But found a pair of red wefts on the sale table in my size for $69.
Sadly I can not wear jeans to either job, so they will be ready for evolution shots in about 2 years.

Anyone familiar with a Japanese brand called Prohibit? They openned a store in NY a few blocks from Self Edge. I went in yesterday and they had 2 different, nice looking black selvege denims. It would be helpful to hear about them from someone not trying to sell them to me.

I am very curious to see if these have any shrinkage after rinsing or washing. Do they go back towards normal or do they stay stretched out?
On cold winter days do they conduct the cold toward your skin?
And can't you just picture...
"Sir, can you please make sure your pockets are empty and walk through the detector again."
still beeps - runs manual detector over you
"Sir, can you please step over there and remove your trousers"

I have seen wefts in red, black, white, off white, tweed, blue, and rainbow, but does anyone make an olive, khaki, or yellow weft? The red looked interesting, but I was a bit nervous about winding up with blotchy purple pants. Khaki or olive seem like good ideas to me.
