I have that blanket lined jacket and even with the inaccuricies it is a really nice piece. I would not however pay full retail for it though. $400 is kinda steep. Glad I got mine on sale.

Anybody have any input on the 1944 Rough Rinse model? How does this fit compared to tagged size? I figure will fit bigger than tagged.

that jacket is nice, where did you get it? sale? it's listed for 425 at unionmade
Bought mine from Hanon Shop in the UK. It was on sale for about $318 shipped to the US. Barneys had it as well for about $260-280 and I ordered it online but my order was canceled.

Bought the 1953 Type II Blanket Lined Jacket. Love it is made in the USA and the fit is pretty good. Only issue is the same brought up about the 47's and it is that the buttons feel pretty cheap compared to the ones on my other LVC items. Not worth the retail price but I got it on sale and might still have paid too much but it looks to be sold out online.

Anyone know if they still make the Raw denim is odd sizes such as 28, 29,or 31? I bought my 47's in a size 31 when Levis had them at $99. I have not seen any raws in these sizes recently. Looks like they have gone the way of the longer inseams.

want to find a pair of 201's now after seeing all these pics...damn, if anyone can track them down in a 30x32 let me know
summer is forcing me to fall back in love with my 37's...nice light weight + looser fit = breezy summer denim! I'll post some updated pics. Also 47's have gone for their first wash! updates to follow (for those who give a shit)
Cultizm has 201's in a 30x 32.

Barneys in Las Vegas is has 2 black 30's version LVC leather jackets under $400. Not sure the exact price but they had a L and XL. I was told they just did 2nd markdowns. No raw LVC to be have though. Just some worn in models and some shirts.

I picked up the One Pocket Sunset Shirt and the Four Button Sunset Shirt from the Gilt sale. Did not really need them but it was like hey Gilt has LVC and if I don't buy it now, the stuff I am interested in will sell out. As with Gilt no returns except for a Gilt credit:( My question is how long before any of this stuff ends up on Ebay for a premium?

the early Kurabo fabric on these all looks pretty good, the earlier (synthetic) ones are maybe a little blue-er and more high contrast than current production.
post pics!
Just won them on Ebay so I will post pics when they come in. From the pic in the auction they look to be a later 1999 production.

Can anyone tell me about the 333's and when was the last time this model was produced? How's the quality?

Which 555 201s the 37s or the 1920s?
1920's and looking at pics of the tags it is an 06/99 production code. I think this was a good deal on these jeans.

Picked up a near new pair of 555 201's for $130 shipped. I'm so excited. Pics when it comes in

Nice comparison. To Levis credit thought the new made in USA 501 are probably alot better than the older 501 selvage seeing as they are made with Cone denim. Those older 501 selvage are cheap looking. Basically the regular 501 STF with sub par selvage denim

I'm looking for a little help on my next Levi's purchase.
Aside from the obvious difference of one being made in the US and the other being "Imported", are there any big quality differences between the two?
Leaning more towards the "Made in USA" version over the imported, but if I can save myself $70, I will.

Thanks!
If you are a size 31 then Bloomindales has a 31x34 Billy Reid Levis 501. It's selvage made in USA of imported fabric. I just got these jeans and they are awesome.

Anyone interested in those 501's and has a 30" wasit should get on these instead:

Same Made in USA of imported fabric nature but the quality is also excellent. Selvedge watch pocket, heavy pockets, reinforced rear pockets, hidden rivets etc. You also get that skinny exposed selvedge lining instead of the giant fat ones that Levis has been putting on their selvedge jeans lately.
It's also the 1947 cut
Picked these Billy Reid 501 and received them today. Must say it has really nice denim and love the hidden rivets. From my initial inspection, on par with my LVC 1947. Also love it is 34 in inseam not the 32 in like the new Made in USA 501

Received my 33's from Blackbird yesterday and must say they are really nice. Bought tts and they fit great out of the package. Small cuff and I'm ready to go. BTW do newer LVC's not have a production code on the button like in past seasons. I'm pretty sure mine are an 09 release.

Soaked my 1873 LVC Ducks that I just got in. They are the new batch made in Turkey. Started out TTS at 32x32. Post 1 hour hot soak they shrunk 1 inch in the waist and 2 1/2 inches in the inseam. Now they sit at a 31x29.5. They are really nice but I might soak again to see if I can get another 1/2 inch in the waist. Will post pics as soon as I get my lazy butt to take post soak pics, maybe tomorrow.

Picked up the long sleeve 20's milk white tee yesterday and I really like it. Love the old school look and the fact it's still made in the USA. I think I have a LVC problem
