Xpost 2 years' denim thread
My friends' 3001's 2 years and a bit + no wash
those look great, and they're f310s btw. personally though, i like FH's with more frequent washes, i think it really personifies the contrast

Can someone with 1001's give me some sizing advice, thinking of ordering a pair?..I hear they stretch a ton!
go ttts or size up one for slim/straigtht fit. yes they do stretch a ton, mine were so tight at the quads and have stretched out comfortably.

is there a way to get rid of the stiffness that comes along with the starch? i know a soak would get rid of it, but wouldn't that also release some indigo? ive only had them for a month...or does the feeling just go away with more and more wear?they'll go away with wear, but you can also soak them, too. they'll only lose indigo if they're agitated during the soak, otherwise, a soak inside out and a hang dry. after they're dry, roll them a few times and they should be soft

hey yayorc it might not be my business as well but if you post up fit pics, be prepared to handle a bit of criticism, because not everybody is gonna butter their words and tell you it looks great when it really doesnt. i think he might just be trying to dish out a bit of advice to you and if you're not ready to accept it, don't post up fit pics.this is sufu.
this is sufu, most immature answer ever. if it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit. there's no need to tell a guy to cut down on carbs and do cardio.
f the haters.. cant believe all these rakes telling you to lay off the carbs or whatever.. you look pretty average sized to me.agreed
I don't know about you, but I would be pretty damn dissapointed if I went to the gym seven days a week and resulted in looking "average". I like to run and lift just like the next guy, although my comment was smart ass I was merely just criticizing his routine.and you know his rountine, how? what if he's doing a lot of leg presses, are you his workout buddy?
looking average? maybe he's built. i don't know that, you don't know that.
telling a guy to lose carbs and do cardio? do you even know what carbs are quite frankly? you must really feel great about yourself huh, i have a lot of respect for you. keep on posting your smart ass replies, this apc thread wouldn't be where it's at without you.

my FH 1001s are extremely snug in the thighs since a single luke-warm soak.. they've got about 4 weeks wear and don't seem to be stretching much. I've noticed the outer seam in the mid-upper thigh has slightly but visibly seperated farther apart than the rest of the seam along the leg. movement is extremely restricted. Should I do a short "local" cold soak and wear them while drying? Or is there a less inconvenient way to hedge against potential damage?
thanks
just wear them an they'l be fine, mine were exactly like that

Dukes with a solid year of wear and a couple months change. Handful of a combination of washes and soaks. Working on some Ande Whalls right now. Putting these in rotation once in a while.
True to size and unhemmed.
looks great. love the look of the removed arcs

The archived posts on this are fairly old and some of the info seems to no longer be valid - so I was wondering if anyone has a recommended tailor in NYC I can get my jeans hemmed at?I know I don't need a chain stitch, but even the regular top-stitch hems I've had done on my earnest sewn's at places in my neighborhood look wrong.
just go to self edge. rivington and orchard in les. its only $25

Looking at critic's TFs, no matter what people say, I will always admire Nudie jeans.

i've found that knee fades come from doing shit on your knees. the rougher/more abrasive the surfaces you're kneeling on or whatever leads to faster fading. even carpet will fade the knees eventually. anything harder than the cotton itselt is considered abrasive.
agreed, i don't have no fades on my knees. you need abrasion and fiction to fade. if you're not on your knees, don't expect much knee fading.

Imperial Shearers size 31
Work boots with fitted/skinny jeans. Yay or Nay?
Initially I loved these things but I think the top block is a little too loose. It sort of looks funky but whatever. You be the judge
personally, i think that fit is great. it looks great from the front, but that back looks a little awkward, although all imperials look like that cause of the huge back pockets. overall, the fit is on point.
