  1. What have you guys found to be the best way to kill odor? As it is mine are in my freezer right now in a ziploc bag but that probably won't make that big of a difference. Would love to hear some other remedies. TIA

  2. I think asher's fit is very cool. Why do dudes keep having these issues about tighter jeans, I wonder? "Borderline girl" - yeah sure. Look at some pics back from the 80s, when, at least here in Europe, everybody wore his jeans skintight and wasn't afraid to show some butt.

Ha I totally agree, my PS just hurt my junk so looking for a cure lol

  3. Is there any way to deal with the really low rise of the PS other than just wearing them lower on your waist? Perhaps some method of stretching I could try or an activity to do in the denim. I love everything about the fit of my PS with the exception of the rise being truly painful to my "junk" at times. Thanks in advance.

  4. Any brand suggestions for really slim fitting BDs that are affordable? H&M is a pretty good fit on me but could be a tad slimmer in the chest/torso. Never tried on a BoO but based on the measurements I think they would be a nice fit as well. Looking to pick up some nice oxfords and maybe a few other shirts in the sub-$70 range. Thanks in advance.

  5. I spilled all sorts of crap on mine and just wiped it off with a napkin and was done with it. Over time it'll just go away haha. I got a little bit of ketchup or mustard within the first month or so and it left a little dark spot on the pocket or thigh area but over time it was harder to see. Just get a damp cloth or something and rub it a little and just let it sit. Once you do wash them it'll be gone anyways.

Haha yeah they took a beating tonight. It was wings them I got a bit drunk so they suffered some typical damage lol

  6. What is the best way to spot clean APC jeans? I spilled a little bit of sauce from chicken wings on them and I used a ice cube and my nail to get it off when it happened but there is still a small dark spot where I spilled it. Any tips?

  7. I'm about a 29" waist (5'8" 130lbs), sized down to 26 and regretted it for the first 6 weeks but at the 6month point I'm glad I went down.

Amen man, I'm almost exactly your size and I have only had my PS for about a week but already they're stretching and I can feel they're going to be perfect over time.

  8. i actually know what you mean. really, it goes away over time. i've had my PS for maybe a little less than a month and they are totally comfortable/ smooth now. lots of wear usually does the trick

Thanks man. I've been wearing them and sleeping in them every day since I got them so should get to that same point pretty soon.

  9. K for 2 and 3 not sure what you mean, I was thinking slub but apc's are pretty smooth. For your first question, I have PS (almost a yr) and I love the fit but hate the rise unless you want your man parts to be hugged your going to have to sag

Unfortunately they aren't stretched out in the waist enough to sag yet, but I'll get there. As for the bumps, they're hard to explain. The ones on the outside seem to have mostly gone away with wear so maybe they were just loose piece of thread in there. On the inside however it is just itchy in certain spots and it feels like the same little snags

  10. Few quick questions from a raw denim noob.

    1) I got the PS, will the rise stretch at all over time? The way they fit now is quite uncomfortable for my manly parts.

    2) Is it typical for the outside of the jeans to have some imperfections (think little scratchy bumps) in the denim if you run your hand down them?

    3) Is it typical for the inside of the jeans to have a few spots that are rather itchy due to those same imperfections?

    Thanks in advance

  11. Any info on some good artists in Pittsburgh? Been trying to get some info but being a smaller city there isn't much to go by online and when it comes to tats, you don't want anything but the best. Thanks in advance.

  12. Yeah, I sized down quite a bit. I normally wear a 30x32 and I got size 26 PS. I'm loving the fit aside from the waist so given the rest of them don't stretch too much these should be perfect.

  13. @SQuinn: should be fine.

If you size up they might fit better at first, but they'll end up too loose.

Ok, thanks. Just a little concerned because I only have one button done right now and my nuts HURT! :o

  14. Ok so I just got my Petit Standards in the mail. Firstly, it's cool to finally hold some APCs. Problem is however, the fit on these is awesome but I had a lot of trouble getting even the very bottom 2 buttons done at this point, though I have only been wearing them for about 10 minutes. If I wear these around for a couple days is this going to fix itself or am I probably going to have to return them and size up? I would really love to keep the ones I have now because every other part of the jean fits perfectly.

  15. Piperlime has Beeswax DBs on sale for $55 or so. Type the word "STAR" into the search box. It will tell you you found the secret coupon, you just have to sign up for the newsletter. Put in your e-mail and it will give you a 20% off coupon. Mine said it expired June 30 so guessing it expires at the end of whatever month you sign up. Apply it to the DBs and you get Beeswax DBs for $45 with free shipping and free returns :D

  16. the PS would be slimmer overall (the knee to leg is slimmer) but the NC would be "tighter" overall

So do you mean that the PS will be slim from top to bottom whereas the NC will be tighter at some points but larger than the PS below the knee taper?

  17. I suck at picking women so you have me really nervous now haha. I'm gonna go with sz 26 NCs if Context is going to have them in stock any time soon. If not I'll either order from apc.fr or just grab the 26 PS from Context. Thanks so much for the help guys. Sufu seems to be much more helpful than SF, this may be my new home ;)

  18. Probably not a huge difference. On context clothing, their measurements say the 25 & 26 have the same rise & thighs. My 25 PS had a 27 waist but have now stretched to a 28 waist after 3 weeks of wear. The other measurements have stretched somewhat but not much.

I searched on google & this fit is very similar to how my 25 APC PS are now :

Hmm that fit is pretty key too. I wish I had an APC stockist around me so I could just try the NC and PS. Unfortunately for all of the culture Pittsburgh manages for a small city we are behind on clothing stores :(. I'm more and more tempted to pull the trigger on Context's 26 PS but as a broke college-student-to-be I don't have much to spend so I have to make sure I get this right lol.

  19. yeah, im super skinny and the PS fit me pretty slim, and i would imagine they'd fit you more snug than me. i would say the PS would be a good way to go in my opinion. they look nicer too in my opinion, with the straighter back pockets and the selvedge line

Yeah the PS don't seem like a bad move, the only thing that scares me is that most of those fit pics I liked were all NCs. I think NC might be the one for me but I can't really find many fit pics of worn PS so it's hard to say.

  20. as someone whos owned NCs + worn NS i believe that New Standards are the best, btw SQuinn, my best friends name is quinn

New Standards are definitely too loose for my liking. I'm a skinny bastard, I need skinny jeans lol. And Quinn is actually my middle name. I hated it when I was a little kid but as I got older I grew to like it a lot.

  21. i actually got a 26 SQuinn. it really depends on your body because i couldnt even button the top of the 26. your best guide would be to find the pair that you cant completely button up by one or two buttons. no fit pics yet, i dont have a camera, but they stretched out to about a 30-31 for reference...

I'm just wondering how the NC vs the PS will fit through the legs. I don't think my legs are extremely skinny because I'm athletic and play a bit of soccer but at the same time they aren't stacked. im_shy saying his PS fit slimmer than the pictured NCs is what threw me now thinking maybe a 25-26 PS
