  2. That's a great looking vest and I love the length of it on you. I wish mine fit me that way rather than barely touching my belt line :(

I'm really wishing I had bought the indigo rather than the duck :) Live and learn.

  3. anyone knows already how much the new indigo vest costs? :)

My duck vest last year was $250 and I was quoted $275 for an indigo vest they had in stock. I'd guess they'll be a bit more this year. My god that worn in indigo vest looks amazing

  4. Expand on that, please.

I just made a post with pics over at the ironheart uk forum.

Some dude in a truck turned left in front of three of us a few nights ago at bike week. Buddy nailed the truck :( I swerved and missed but highsided while 3rd buddy missed it all. 634s and Rogue Territory denim shirt saved me from some serious roadrash. When the EMTs woke me up they didn't want to risk moving me much so wanted to cut the denim off to check me out. I was awake enough, but stupid enough to not let them.

I'll definitely be saving for a new pair of 634s and another denim shirt. Saved my skin.

  5. When you wake up after having a horrible motorcycle accident and the EMTs want to cut your shirt and pants off and you go nuts and forbid them. No way were they going to cut up my 634s and RT DBL Indigo shirt. No. Way. They both held up better than I did.

  6. They say raw not STF, and from my understanding, raw =/= unsanforized

You can't trust a single word on their site. The pair of selvage 501s I bought online last June was STF and nowhere on the site did it say STF. If it had I probably would not have taken the chance on them at the inseams they were offering. Also WHY in the world would they NOT offer anything and everything on their website and make you call a store to find something. Seems silly to me. My god it's like they're doing it on purpose... just like the cheaper 201s they offer online with height challenged inseams only.

  7. I just got a pair of those. I dont know why the website says imported fabric. It's actually cone denim. The tag the jeans came with says they were woven in greensboro NC. The denim is amazing and the pocket bags are super heavy. They're even numbered on the inside. I would get a pair if i were you. The price is steep but they are worth the money. I did get my employee discount so they were a little cheaper for me, but up to par with lvc for sure.

Would consider it if they offered at LEAST 36" inseams. I got last summers STF selvage which ended up great but are now high waders since they only came in 34" inseams and I'm only 5'10". For these in raw and to only offer these in 32" inseam is a joke. I guess they are pushing people to the $250 LVCs.

  8. just washed my dbl indigo workshirt after 3-4 months. looks absolutely amazing. will put up pics shortly.

    Gonna post those pics :)

It's going to be getting almost too hot to wear mine here in FL so I may wash mine and hang til fall. Got mine early Dec and put in about 4-5 days a week. Interested to see how yours turns out.

  9. No, once I saw they had changed I didn't order the new style. I've got plenty (for me anyway) jeans to keep me going for a couple of years. I was just looking to get another cheap pair of 501xx. They just had to get cute with them. My god I hate Levis sometimes,

  10. Went to the Levi's site to look at maybe getting another pair of the 501xx selvage STFs and the new restocks look way different than the 501xx I ordered last July :( So much for that.

On a side note, a fun little project I did to those 501xx was instead of a 6 month soak I bought a couple indigo kits and overdyed them :) Worked so good I did an old beat up, predistressed RRL work shirt I had as well. It was a fun little project anyway, they end up looking like the material the Rogue Territory pants/shirt are made from.

  11. I was interested in buying the double indigo work shirt and was checking out the measurements.

Is this shirt like half the size of the normal shirt? Am I reading that correctly?

I am 6ft and 215lbs with broad shoulders and muscular arms, do you think this shirt will work for me?

From wearing mine nearly every day since I got it at the beginning of December I find it sized for really really tall, really really skinny people.

I bought a large and soaked it twice initially and did an inside out hot dryer session.

Here is what it is now laying flat.

    pit to pit = 22.5

shoulders 1" down from collar seam = 17.75

shoulders 4" down from collar seam = 17

    across waist/2nd button from bottom = 21

sleeve from top of arm/shoulder seam to cuff tip = 28.5

sleeve from arm pit seam to cuff tip = 23.5

Rear Collar seam to bottom tail of shirt = 30.5

Top of shoulder seam to bottom armpit seam = 10

Sleeve width at elbow = 6.5

    Cuff width = 4'75

I'm 5'10" and run 175 average with average narrow build and this fits tight across the back and chest a bit if I want to actually do something other than sit at my desk.

The arms and shirt length I find really long but work out well with one cuff of the cuff or one roll up and since it's winter I have been wearing it as an overshirt some but in spring plan on shortening the length about 3" as it almost hangs to my crotch. The sleeves are rather skinny as well so rolling above the elbow is nearly impossible for me and I'm not ripped at all. One cuff is about all I can get out of it, partially because even after 2 soaks and a dry and wearing for about 25 days straight it's still pretty heavy and stiff.

All that being said I love the thing and glad I upsized on it as I normally wear medium shirts. It's just long and narrow.

  12. Lol, not bad. I know it may get "poo-poo'd" because it's from Kohl's but since there's one just down the road from me I'll grab one, thanks. I need a good, inexpensive, around the house beater shirt.

  13. Rant: Why the hell can't Levis make a simple denim work shirt without any distressing, washing, fake fading, etc? I just got a 40% + free shipping email and went to their site and they have ONE basic denim shirt and it's a western... then I see a few workshirts but they have to distressed, patched, etc. There are a couple of new shirts on there I really like such as those plaid stock work shirts with the vintage style buttons and tab collar... but why can't they just make ONE in denim without fucking it up.

  14. Maybe you missed what a B2 cap is....?

I know what you meant :) I have never seen any other denim B2 caps, and was just trying to make the point that pickings are slim for caps while the pickings for other style of hats are pretty good. just wish there were more companies making hats other than the newsboys, drivers, fedoras etc. I just don't look good in them.

  15. so is it just a denim B2 cap?

    JUST a denim B2 hat?

Man I wear hats almost everyday and I can't find anything close to a hat like that outside of spending nearly a $100 on Rakuten for something from Decho :)

Unless you want a bad castro hat, cheesy drivers cap, a vintagy newsboy cap or Fedora or a New Era baseball style cap you're SOL.

Some needs to make similar to this one.

  16. Agreed. Stitch job is shit, but I really like the look of the brown cork.

It actually looks better in person and if I can't get a local boot repair guy to fix the stitching I'll just live with it. Not a huge deal since nobody anywhere I go would ever even notice or care lol. Only myself or people here would know the difference. I really was hoping for the black though. The 2990 midsole and cork sole on the 2970 upper... man I really wanted that. Damn you Redwing :)

  17. Wow, what a job they did on the welt stitching of those Engineers. Okuyama could do a better job blindfolded with one arm behind his back.

Yep :( I went to Redwing for the resole thinking they would do a good job and it might comeback looking factory new. Nope. I saw on a tag stuck to the boot that it went to some cobbler in Illinois not even the factory. Since this was the second resole I just took them and left. I found a local guy on the way to work I'm going to take them in to and just hand them to him and ask him if he can see what's wrong and if he can fix it. If it's cheap I'll do it since this sole should last me now quite a few years and I don't want to take a sharpie and black in the stitching so I can't see the shitty job they did. They only for riding now so it's not that big of a deal but...

  18. These just had their first birthday. Worn 4-5 days a week for a year.

These just had their 2nd birthday and 2 resoles. Crappy job Redwing did on the 2nd resole. The first resole was wrong (vibram) and this one used the brown cork instead of the black cork. I had to have the cork since they perform perfect for me riding in the Florida rains. Weird they said that they don't resole the heritage collection and only have brown cork soles. I asked what if I had a pair of black Iron Ranger? She asked what those were. There were Hawhorn and Amber IRs on the display next to her. I almost went with a black wedge sole. Kinda wish I had now.

    Sigh.

  19. Over on Style Forum there is a Mechanic cap selling for $60.

I wear a cap everyday (casual office studio) and I love it overall but the long bill isn't my thing.

Someone buy this before I give in and get it.

Ok who bought it? I come home drunk deciding to buy it and it's sold lol. If one of you bought it, thanks :)

  21. Pics please…… Sounds like your local cobbler would've done a better job. Hope they comped you.

Here they are from Oct 2009 (no recent pics but the sole was much worse) and this morning. If they had even used contrasting stitching like my old pair I may have been ok with them. Taking them in this morning to see if they'll redo them like I asked for since this is exactly what I didn't want... plain old vibram sole.
