i have no friendsand i haven't gone clubbing for about a year, went out last night for Halloween - god damn it was awful even though i was shitfaced. crappy music, loud and obnoxious people (Chanel and LV toting chicks). yeah that's probably the last time i go clubbing.

2 years ago i had no clue what i wanted to do, bouncing back and forth from school to school trying to find out what I'm passionate for. depressed as fuck with no motivation whatsoever.
Then i just did it and started to study fashion design seeing as how it was the only thing that peaked my interest. I'm currently at a very technical college, its a 2 year program and i will be graduating in 7months. Though it is only a diploma, i am extremely glad that i attended the school i did, it teaches us to draft( which is what im passionate for) and sew because really designers are a dime a dozen without any technical skills whatsoever. anyhow, i haven't looked back since and I've been more content and busy than i have ever been. 14hour days are what my days consists of and having no social life at all anymore but its definitely more rewarding and fulfilling than anything i have ever done and I'm actually happy. I'm ecstatic to be graduating because the possibilities are limitless but I am also afraid of how competitive this industry could be and is.
anyways long story short for all those who were in my position 2 years ago, stay strong you'll find what your passionate for and things will start to turn around. you only live once so do what you want because life is really too short to be regretful as corny as that shit sounds.

Yeah apc still does the butler offer.
If you're in Paris you should go to Le Bon Marché (at Sèvres-Babylone), Studio Homme (a nice showroom between Sentier and Réaumur-Sébastopol) and the rue vieille du temple (in Le Marais) where there's some store's as APC, French Trotters and Surface to Air.
really, i went to the boutique on rue madame but the guy said they stopped doing it years ago;; but he told me he was also new? :/
and thanks for the suggestions,
btw does anyone know where i can get tracing paper and where would be good to shop for fabric? thanks in advance guys.

Where did you get rivets? Every place I've been carries anything you can possibly imagine except jeans rivets.
there's this shop in my city they carry all the sewnig supplies u can imagine and they happen to have gromets, rivets, jean buttons, snaps, eyelets everything you can imagine. im not sure if they ship and you should see if theres anything similiar where your located, its 'leather and sewing supplies'.

any good books out there anyone would recommend about design theory?

the whole jeans is single stitched on an industrial lockstitch machine and the fabric is indigo warp and overydye black weft and the fabric you see is actually the wrong side, right side is much more blue/indigo.

Great fit on those, how many hours did they take?
to cut and sew - 10 hours
to get the perfect fit/pattern - endless hours.

those look fake just from the position of the label and size tags
every thing made have a specs package where every label has to be positioned precisely and when i compare with my jeans the positioning is off.
discalimer: i could be wrong if they change it from wash to wash or cut to cut or sizes..

just wondering if anyone know how hidden rivets are put in, because it boggles my mind how you can put in rivets underneath the patch pockets and still be able to topstitch over it...

that would be nice. haven't really liked Pilati's YSL work since his 08-09 collections, and the stuff before that was not very good either
according to YSL twitter today; pilati is actually staying, no slimane.

any sites online where i can source good quality and small amounts of 13oz indigo denim textile? thankssss
and vinftw: they basically folded the denim more into the selvage which makes it bigger - if u wanted to undo it then u would just rip out the seam and sew back the selvage to the original width

When i tried both cuts on in the same size, the 19cm seemed to be much slimmer overall.
this should be correct because of proportions; if the top block was exactly the same that would mean that 21cm's flare out at the knee but it doesn't it's still a straight fit - so it'd have to be bigger than the 19cms. (since 19cm's are straight as well)

how does one attain some jap quality denim in toronto? can't seem to find that shit anywhere i want to make my own jeans.... that's all i ask forrr
to clarify - im looking for denim by the yard, not actual jeans.

Oke, so apparently the 19cm's are modeled after the APC Cure and not the New Cure. I happen to own a pair of Cure's (3 years old) and I'm contemplating/lusting after a pair of 19cm's. However I fail to see what the real difference would be between the two, even more so after reading that the Dior denim is almost equal to that of APC.
Perhaps the stretching is a difference, seeing as Dior's stretch less than APC's, what jeans don't. I'm just trying to wrap my head around the idea of purchasing a pair of 19cm while a nearly identical pair of Cure's can be had for half the price. This leads me to question: why not just by a new pair of Cure's (which are available again on the apc site). Any input would be appreciated.
the colour of dior mij's indigo have a different hue compared to apc's indigio, dior's have more of greenish hue to them while apc's have a deep blue hue. if that helps lol
